To cut or not to cut?

One thing after another in NorCal, low humidity, hot weather, ph trouble, and trying to keep the bugs at bay. What’s your stance on leaf snipping? I’d love your feedback thank you.

Leave it until it turns yellow imo. It still does its job even though it may not look great.

That leaf is on it's last legs, won't hurt to snip. It does look like you have a little thrip damage there as well

I was wondering what the terminology of that was, then googled it. It was worse, so I’m definitely playing catch up. Being it’s in flower, 1/2 teaspoon per gallon of dawn (spray) daily, and some lavender repellent is the best I have so far. Ideas? Neem oil will make the buds taste like hell….

Not sure. I keep them at bay by using the shower setting on my hose nozzle every day and washing the plants well, That will taper off now as they are flowering. Otherwise Spinosad is the shit, takes care of all bugs

You can make a simple ISO ( isopropyl alcohol ) insecticide. DIY online.
I used to make simple 1:1 spray or 2:1 for more aggressive times. Alcohol desiccates the insect , breaks down their waxy exteriors , quick knock down. Plus alcohol will dissipate quickly without much residue. I would mist the leaf matter , wait 15 minutes , do again , then I rinse ( water mist ) the corpses off.

However. Repeat treatments may be needed.

I use iso alcohol.. works good.. i mix in a very tiny bit of dawn in with it.. alcohol also pulls moisture out of any eggs killing them...

it doesnt hurt to remove leaves in moderation.

Literally just gave her a few cups of 5.5ph grow big (all I have) We’ll see how she looks in a few days here

Does it usually take a few days to fix a hungry plant? Worrying about the poor thing…

Your plant is suffering from heat stress, that dark plastic pot hits 140° on a sunny day. Roots overheat and she feeds off the lower leaves. If you water or feed she perks up because it cools the root zone but leads to overwatering which hurts the roots more. Pull it out of the pot, you’ll see the soil is hot and damp like swamp ass.

What is 5.5ph grow big? A few cups sounds like a lot.

This I’m aware of and have been fighting against. It’s not pictured but Ive been keeping them on cool damp towel underneath. Im sure you’re right on taking it out of the pot, but I’m hesitant to transplant this far into flower. Thoughts? Sounds like I over watered as well. It’s a shitty day in NorCal.

Maybe a cup and a half…. Fox Farm Grow Big is 6-4-4. Water’s pH is 5.5. Hoping I didn’t fucking over water….

I hope not. I use grow big at times for my house plants. I've used it for MJ in the past. I use maybe 1 tablespoon of big grow per gallon of water. Did you mix 1 1/2 cups of big grow with a certain amount of water before adding it to the soil?
