I recently received my caregivers card for my friends mom who sadly has fibromialga and has also recently under gone cancer treatments and is now in remission.

I will providing for her and one other patient in MA. If anyone is in need of a caregiver I will be happy to help.

Only thing I as is that I am going to have to ask for some money for the amount of money and time that I use to keep this going.

I will be following all medicinal laws of RI. Meaning I can be a caregiver up to 5 people. But I still can not have anymore than 24 mature plants no matter what and a max of 2.5 oz marijuana.

If help is needed pm me and we can meet and make sure everything is legal so no one gets in any trouble and more importantly I do not want to lose my privilege as a caregiver.

As a caregiver someone that has the medicinal card gives you priviledge of growing for them. Its not to just grow but to actually help the person out if he or she can't drive or just get their medicine themselves.

This means as a caregiver I can grow and carry medicine for her. As a caregiver you are also allowed to sell the weed at a max of. 125oz no matter how good to anyone with a medicinal card.

To evo... You are exactly what's wrong with the program we have here in RI. I am a patient and have been screwed over by "caregivers" at least three times now. You are NOT allowed BY LAW to profit ANYTHING. You are doing the same thing that all these caregivers do. Do you realize that if you charge 125 an ounce and you are allowed to grow 12 plants mature and 12 immature that when you crop one set of twelve plants and then charge 125 an ounce you could make 4500 assuming you get only 3 ounces a plant!!!!! Please don't tell me it costs that much to grow 12 plants. I have started growing my own and 4500 doesn't even come close. You are not suppose to charge sick patients because it takes time and energy. It is suppose to be charity. The only thing you CAN recoup is your actual cost of growing. Even then you can't expect the cost of lights ect... to be paid off in one grow. Any caregiver that charges more than 30-50 an ounce is trying to make money. Hey I have no problem with people that make money just don;t do it here in a state that is NON-PROFIT. A little piece of advice...watch your back because the rumor is there are State police posing as patients to stop this kind of thing.....

Hmm I have been reading the laws I by no means am trying to make money just offset the cost of growing. I have printed out all RI med laws and have been going through them. My plan I have gone over with my patient is so much for free each month then after that is where I would have to charge.

Im not selling it illegally either who ever is thinking that. I am only in contact with licensed med patients.

I have started anything yet so I will be sure I am fair and not doing anything illegal.

I am from Rhode Island and i am currently in the process of getting my medical card, just out of curiosity how exactly do you go about getting your caregivers license. Who do you go to. I understand that you need a patient to grow for but when you have that one patient what are the steps?

The patient license application has space for two caregivers. Instructions on the app include the following information:

CAREGIVERS:
• Caregiver information is ALWAYS provided by the Patient.
• Background Check (BCI) for all caregivers. (To obtain BCI contact Attorney General’s Office at (401) 274-4400)
If your Caregiver lives in another state they must provide a BCI from the state where they live and also include one
from Rhode Island.
• Each caregiver may be responsible for up to five (5) patients.
• Pay an application fee (Check or Money Order, Payable to RI General Treasurer) Fee is seventy-five dollars
($75.00) unless you are a qualifying caregiver who can submit satisfactory evidence, to the Department, of being a
recipient of Medicaid, Supplemental Security Income (SSI) or Social Security Disability Income (SSDI). If you can
submit such evidence then the fee is ten dollars ($10.00).

When I applied I found the two women at the license office I spoke with to be very helpful, too. Good luck.

wow you are totally clueless, do you know what it takes to achieve 3 oz from every single plant in a perpetual fashion. It can be done but you not talking about a 2,000-3,000 rigg, you are talking about a serouis piece of equipment, a skilled grower, and the right strain. What about the electric bills the persons time, and prolly the gas they gotta use to bring it your whinny ass. Some one is gonna sell you gold for 125 an oz???? If you cry because you think you know it all and you think it should be 30-50 dollars and oz (LOL) then you should be left to find meds on your own in the mean streets of providence and go back to paying 350-400 dollars and OZ for your meds. Thats whats gonna happen if you start talking about the state police, and complaining so much. People don't don't know what they have until they loose it.

what it takes to achieve 3 ozs wtf , dude it dosent take thousands of dollars to pull that off. My first grow was with 2 used 1000 watt hps lights off c/l for 200 each and an 8x8 grow tent. I grew purple wreck used the hps lights through the entire grow some some compost tea along with ff nutrients in black gold soil and dominated 3ozs per plant..........not with thousands of dollars in equiptment, you must have some really bad light leaks.

Did you have 24 plants in there??!?!?!?!?!?!?

Regardless, your equipment must of cost you some cash, need to keep that tent cool and everything with two lights. I bet you would be losing money if you sold your shit for 50 bux a Z, when you factor in your time. Would you sell it for 50 a Z.

Stop telling me I have light leaks lol in the other thread I told you, pitch black.

Hey people just recieved the card. Three o's what strain is doing that indoors ? Redsox, man just go to the department of health website all of its in there, just got to look around. They got a 100% carbon copy of the law in there. I cant find the info regarding if its ok for my care giver to live with me anyone got the info, besides the info on the application, I am fully aware. Also I am currently looking for a veteran caregiver whos got a extra spot, Im looking for someone thats gonna wow me. Im building a 10 by 10 room, gonna do the ebb and flow system , 2 600 watt hps and 1 400 mh. Did'nt mean to make this a story but Ive been reading, watching , and thinking about this subject for a very long time. My friends are gonna take me to a co op next time they go , look forward to making someones day with a unique batch I grew. I pretty much need a caregiver that is fully involved and would'nt mind a apprentice of sorts after a bond of trust is established. Aside from that I wish you all the best.
