to 1000 watt or to 600 watt that is the question

i have 2 2x4 ebb n flo trays2x8 total growspace want to sog have a 1000 watt but also a 600 watt what do u guys think i should use i want good crop and high yields would the 1000 be overkill and just creat unwanted heat i have a vented reflector to minimize heat so will the 1000 give me higher yields or do the same as a 600

All else equal, the 1000 will yield higher then the 600.

A 2x8 grow is kinda funky, though - why don't you take the two 2x4s and make a 4x4?

That'd be perfect for a 1000.

You will get much better yields with the 1000 watt light. Is your light air cooled? If so hook up a inline fan and suck the air out and dont forget to use the glass so it is sealed up. exhaust out of your room. Heat wont be an issue.

it a closet that is narrow but long is 3 ft wide and 10 feet long and if i set it up square it will not be concealedi have lots of room to grow taller plants just not bushy plants i wish i had a camera to take a pic i think a good sog is in order

Then I'd do two 6's over two 3x3 tables.

That 2x8 is just too large/weird for one light to cover - two 4s would be your best best, although they're not gonna cover the entire length that well.

Although, a 1000/600 on a light mover could do something good for you.

yess i agree light mover will do it or buy another 600 and mount them side by side what nutes do u suggest i havent put my clones to vegg and i am using general hydro micro and grow but i want to knoe what mixtures of what nutes are working for u guys

taking this into account, a 1000w will not sufficiently cover the area due to the length, i would consider running two 400watters

in that case can i run two lights fgrom one ballast i am not familiar with how ballasts work for more than 1 light

not that i am aware of.... i'm sure there would be a way, if you had extensive electrical knowlege... if you wanted to get a little different, you could get a cheap 250w mh and a 600 watt hps; run a room for veg, and a slightly larger room for flower... little divider 'tween the two...

i use a homande cfl thingy to vegg right now puts out 20k lumens i bought the socet that makes 2 from one and got an aluminum baking pan and rigged 2 to fit 4 cfls on each lol works great and i get great spectrum i dont veg too long anyways maby 2 weeks at most when they go to flower i vegg for 1 more week under the hid at a raised level to help themm assimilate but i already have a veggroom aka my bathroom closet lol i just want to make the most of my space and trays i already spent money on i think ill go with the 2 400s i just hope im not UNDERDOING id rather overdue it u know what do u think 2 600s to get the best yeilds
