I had someone take clones from important genetics while in veg. She just informed me she lost one strain. I have the plants in week 3 or 4 of flower, outdoors and I will try to take some cuttings and clone from flowering plants. Sucks completely, Question? I just got a tissue culture kit to preserve these genetics. Can I take a tissue culture from flowering plants? Anyone with experience doing this? All suggestions from anyone with experience welcome.

No experience here but stumbled on your thread in search of some info. I do not see why this would be an issue. Because MJ plants are totipotent any cell can reproduce a whole plant. What I am still trying to figure out is if they need any light as all. It sounds like they do not photosynthesize because you are feeding them sugar in a base solution with or without agar. I'm guessing I can make 10-15 tissue clones and have them ready for the next round in 6-ish weeks. The best part is that if your plants are losing vigor that the meristem cells are considered "new" and will re-introduce vigor into older plants. This method really sounds like a win-win if you know how to keep it sterile.
