Tips for transporting harvested plants

Hi guys, just after some tips for transporting harvested plants from an outdoor plot back to the room where they are to be trimmed and dried.

Specifically, these will be in a forest and need to be carried back on foot, it's about a 5 - 10 minute walk and I am wondering how to minimize damage to them. Just snip them and simply carry them upside-down? Does anyone put them in a sack or a box or...?

Does shaking them but not actually touching them on anything cause some of the trichomes to fall off (thus affecting potency)?

Any tips are appreciated.

When the plant is wet trichomes are really sticky, it's when the plant is dry that they become brittle...
I think you might raise an eye walking with a couple plants on your shoulder, you should pluck all fan leaves off at your spot and snip the plant down to manageable size branches and go from there, depending on how many you have...

I'd trim em up them up and break them down right there, take a collapsible chair, your scissors/shears and some plastic baggies 0r containers and a backpack. I wouldn't carry the plants to my car, way too risky. At least you'll look like a hiker.

Chop em into pieces that will fit into a book bag and go from there. Won't loose many trichs when they are fresh.

Thanks for the advice guys, much appreciated. Sounds like trimming them down and carrying them in a box or bag is the way to go.

I would highly recommend putting them in a air tight tub inside of a backpack that way if the cops pull you up for walking around in the woods at night they wont smell anything maybe take your dog with you if you have one or running clothing could be me thinking out of the box :) maybe just chop put them in to a box and walk home good luck

Contractor bags, doubled up and tied tight. More room if you break them down off the stem, but then you can't hang em you'll need screens. Use gloves so you can throw those in the bags right before you leave and your hands are clean-ish. Throw those bags in a backpack if you have one and it doesn't look any weirder than hiking out with black plastic bags. Multiple trips is better if you can't conceal that rather large stinky package. Cigs, cologne, incense, something for the car.

Red Eye nailed it..! you wanna go from A to B, with less hassle as possible, best way is to encamp at the grow, trim, bury the waste to compost down
move the 12-18 inch buds on sticks to a box or sturdy bag and with care return to base, for further grooming ..good luck

I used plastic bags then put them in a army duffle bag, the type you get at army navy store. I rode a bike to a rural area/corn fields and rode back though a rather ghetto side of town. Talking pounds over several trips. Left the leaves stalks etc there in the field for the deer or farmer whomever. Smelled like a skunk but I just looked like one of the many homeless cats out wondering the street with a bag full of (clothes?) Sometimes you got to do what you got to do. Not a lot of harm comes to the product but a lot more than being able to walk it anywhere.
