Tips are black

I just had one clone die from this. My fan leavs are curling up and turning black it was so bad killed plant over night.

I repotted the rest in new soil. Flushed them. They are slowing down on the black leafs but still truning black.
Temps are between 70 and 80
Humidity 50 to 60.
Edit: By the way. The clones where forced back to veg. Thats why some look mutated

I believe I had root rot. The girls seem to be recovering. The leaves that were infected are still dying but really slow now. The new leaves are nice and green.
I gave the my home made soil of yard rackings. Tree leafe moss dirt duck eggs molasses. All this has broken down and made a nice light fluffy soild.
My old soil it was in didnt drain well and was hard.
Btw I dont use nutrients and have no way of testing it yet.
I use water from store and I add a teaspoon of molasses when soil is dry.
Crossing my fingers.

No disrespect man but they look severely malnourished. . It’s possible they were not getting enough light based off leaf size furthermore the dirt didn’t dry and caused rotting of the roots.

Edit: okay maybe they are just having a hard time reverting to veg .... mine looked terrible for a month and now there are beasts .... don’t give up... if these were keepers you don’t wanna lose.

They didnt dry the soil was so hard and still wet. Like a clump of clay.
They are small because they where in flower from clone.
Just started to go back to veg. Did toppings to cut the buds that where growing. And the new leaves are the new growth from a week.
Yes they may not be getting the right nutrients.

I did take your advice not gettign the right amount of light. Useing 10 2 bulb t8s. They were 4inch from plant. I just lowered it to be 1/2 inche from plant. I know I need better lights and nutrients.
This full setup was free. When I get some extra paper I will upgrade.20191210_120519.jpg

Man your pics keep getting better and better .... I put before and after on my pics all are full revenged....I’d just be patient they will come back as long as you give them at least 15 hrs s day..

They are geting 24 hours. Change it from 18/6.
Will keep it at 24 for a few days then go back to 18.
My last grow was really nice for some t8s. Got 4 ounces of the Afghan and 1 ounces from girl scout cookies. Cookes messed up from seed

Everything was given to me to learn and start my own grow.
I have about 30 Clones with roots i taken from my first grow.

This grow is all clones. I do have a few seeds that are growing I got from a friend. Maybe hurmies but i will know in a few weeks.
I know my plants look bad. But its my frist time doing clones.
Got to learn somewhere. And i rather learn with out being out of pocket.
Now i know better then but clones in 12/12 from start.
I did read on the forum that some take clones from flowering plants to get the mutation.

With my frist grow. I mixed LST /HST. With topping and a getto scrog as you see the Afghan was about 27inches all around. But was only 4 inches tall.
I messed up and did what i think is called popcorn. Should have topped in middle growth and cut the under growth out.

Learning.

If you are a newbie ... nothing wrong with that, we all been there ... I would like to see you start simple.
You don't need to know how to clone ... yet.

After reading it ... read it again.

Grow a decent, uneventful crop and THEN we can start talking about cloning, breeding or that stuff, not yet.
Stick with simple two part feed ... DO NOT DO ORGANICS.
It's a whole new world, and if you're interested you can learn it later. But you need a good foundation before you start building ... otherwise you'll become overwhelmed with problems and decide that 'it doesn't work' or 'I have a brown thumb'.

Learn to walk first.
