Well my pipes i thought about the clogging but instead of water pumping through the top pipes and falling into the bucket I actually have the water pumped through the bottom from res and the return is the top pipe. Let me know if you think that might help in the clogging issue
I think you are going to get many problems with the system you have built mate, sorry to piss on your parade. Feed from the top and put bigger pipes on the bottom. The way you have it you are asking for a flood and it simply won't recirculate properly. The whole point of a waterfall from the top is to oxygenate your nutrient solution which is essential.

There are far easier ways to grow weed than RDWC. So sorry but my original advice stands RDWC "don't do it"!

Yes mate I did, it was a cut down bodge job from my old RDWC setup. Loving the Flood & Drain wish I had done it years ago ans saved myself a load of money, heartache and time.
Right on! I believe everyone has to find what works for them and their room.Once you get that you can concentrate on the finer details and enjoy the hobby.

I think the best thing for a new grower to learn is what the excesses and deficiencies look like. Once you know how your plant tells you what's right and wrong you can fix the problem. When I started out I would just post a picture on here and wait for someone to explain what the plant was saying. This site is great for that but if I could take only one skill from here and feel independent it would be the uncanny ability to look at a plant and know what it needs.

It looks like a great start!
Wish I could commit to the pumps and pipes...
Lots of rabbit holes in this game!
If you are doing one or two DWC grows at a time i suggest an ice probe chiller + igloo cooler+ thermostat = set it and forget it. No moving parts besides the small peltier cpu cooling fan and no reservoir temp worries. Takes twenty minutes to set up.

The bucket net sits right on top just as it would a regular bucket. With outside temps at 95F the ice probe chiller without the thermostat lowered the reservoir to 58F in no time at all. You can make your own ice probe chiller for under $20 if cost is a problem, "peltier cooler".

The ice probe chiller uses the same amount of electricity as a 50-60 watt bulb. With the thermostat it only turns on a few hours a day adding only one dollar to your electric bill per month.

Inkbird thermostat from amazon or ebay

Serious question though with the oxygenation I have a air pump feeding individual buckets. Would that still be a issue?

I had Micro bubble airstones in each bucket (no waterfall) and still had problems, but as mentioned I am a RDWC failure so am not really in a position to give constructive advice.

1. get an EC and pH meter from blue lab
2. read this site
3. careful what you read on this site

pay attention to one specific method and stick with it. whether it be soil, coco, dtw hydro, dwc, rdwc. decide what you're gonna do and research just that and how to do that and only that. so many people on here end up listening to everybody and doing a little bit of everything. big mistake.

Make friends with a deli, food service or food processing worker. Most use. Free food grade buckets for life in multiple sizes. Be wary of pickle buckets. Found no cure for that pickling of bucket. LOL.
Bah you can cure pickles in a pickle bucket.
