does anyone have oddities that they came across that was easily fixed with the right knowledge? Or just simple mistakes we all can easily make that are avoidable? If so nows the time to share and help everyone that's going to indoor season. No such thing as a stupid question.

If things don't look as they should check the basics first. Nutrient temperature, PH, EC. Check and calibrate your equipment regularly. KEEP IT SIMPLE for your first few grows BASE NUTRIENTS ARE ALL YOU NEED. Get inside of your room/tent when lights are off to check for light leaks. Above all look after your roots don't let them sit in sodden wet medium 24/7. I am not a newbie but still get caught out by getting complacent and not checking BASICS.

Totally this. I am guilty of overwatering. I have always be too worried about underwatering. I have learned self control and have learned to leave them another day.

My tip is to take some time to just sit and look at the plants, you'll be surprised what you see. The subtle changes each day. I find it helps me spot minor problems before they become big problems.

Also, invest in a jewellers loupe. I was always told to harvest when 75% of the pistils change colour. On that basis I would have been harvesting last week. The trichcomes told me otherwise and low and behold today I see that the plants are still putting on weight and haven't yet reached peak potency. At least another 10 days. That jewellers loupe has paid for itself 10 times on the first grow I used it on.

I'm not all that experienced, but it seems like a lot of people on the forums are so quick to do something. You don't need to rush with these plants, today is about as good as tomorrow with most things. People wanna make it super complicated, but at its base it's really just watering a thing and making sure it's got the nutrients it needs to do what it's evolved over millions of years to do.

Chill out, but if you do something you should have read about it so you know what it is you're trying to achieve through your actions.

Sometimes you can be given all the right answers and still fail. That doesn’t mean you suck, nor does it mean the answers you were given were insufficient. Everybody on this forum is like a pot of gumbo, it takes a mixture of different things to get the recipe right, and here you will definitely find the recipe. Very knowledgeable, think outside the box, sarcastic individuals to say the least, ( fun humor ) but all good people at the end of the day. Don’t be afraid to ask, even what may seem like the dumbest question can end up being the most vital aspect to your grow, and sometimes be the difference between survival and unfortunately death. Trial and error will be your best friend, if you’re afraid to learn from your mistakes, maybe gardening isn’t the right hobby/job for you. Remember, we all started somewhere.
