i really want to take on the project of building a tiny house :) ... i dont know if i want it on a trailer or just grab up some land and look up the building codes and what not and build one. i think if i build one that sits on the ground ill use shipping containers..the container houses are amazing. and if i do that itll probably destroy my idea of a tiny house lol because how easy itll be to add additions but itd still be awesome knowing i made it myself. this one here is pretty crazy but badass

Yeah the container house was pretty sweet but it's not very tiny lol. That women seemed like a rich cunt interior decorator or something. Still, it was pretty badass. I wonder how they cut all the windows and skylights in?

I've been in the process of designing a micro build for the last year or so. I currently live in a 500sqft apartment I built 3yrs ago as an experiment of sorts to see what it was like living in a small space with 2 adults, 2 dogs, and 3 cats. The biomass gets a little high during winter.... I initially thought I was going to build a container house, but eventually decided that there were more headaches than I really want to deal with in constructing with them. Everything has to be welded, widows and openings cut out with plasma cutters. and that's just roughing it out...
Instead, Ive decided to buy a smallish saw mill and I'm going to process and dry my own timber for framing and the exterior. I'm lucky enough to have a sizable grove of giant white pines on my property, which was part of the reason I decided on a stick build. It is truly amazing how cheaply someone can build a dwelling if they are patient and are willing to put in the work to do it. Small houses rock!

Small is cool, but it gets old pretty quick. I think that's why jails are small; it's part of the punishment. I started with one little trailer, and within five years I had made a mansion.
