[TD="class: alt1, bgcolor: #F0F0F0"]OK, so basically I need to figure out what to do to make the best tincture, as this is our first time doing it with alcohol.
So- this is out first time w/ alcohol tincture. I've already started it, watched a bunch of YouTube vids, etc. of people doing it, and got a basic recipe that was pretty standard for most people, but we still have a few questions.....
What I did:
I used an ounce of sugar leaf/trim to 1 3/4 cups of alcohol(Everclear).
It said to use 2 cups on most, but a half of a 750ml bottle is about 1 3/4 cups, and the one guy did that for that reason, which makes sense to us, it will just be a little more potent.
Ok, so 1 ounce trim (high-quality and potent): 1 3/4 cups Everclear
Now, on many youtube videos ive seen and read many differnent but similar techniques, while researching tincture methods for storage time, place, etc. while brewing that they : place it in the- freezer, fridge, or room temp in a dark cupboard - for the 4-7 day storage.
What advice do you guys have on this: Where is the best place to store this, for how long, and why?
