Tin Foil or White Paper?

Then you gotta wonder how thick the paper is. I know a lot of paper is translucent. Even thick enough is still going lose more light over distance.

Are we talking about tin foil, or aluminum foil? I wrap my lids in aluminum foil on my aero system. The reflectivity I am not sure about, it seems shiny enough. I use it for its heat cooling capability, as well as blocking the spray from the slit in the lid (aluminum is not very corrosive). If you crumple it a bit, it has a lot of surface area which cools the whole area down and keeps the plant cooler (acts as a heat sink).

What is "panda film/plastic"?
panda film is 2 sided vinyl, one side is black and one is a highly reflective white. Alot of growers use that or Mylar to line there grow rooms for reflectivity. It usually comes in 6m size. You can find good deals on Mylar and Panda film on eBay.

Do you have a preference: Panda film vs. Mylar? An advantage of one over the other?

I prefer panda film.
It is reusable, durable, EASY to clean and doesn't rip as easy as Mylar.

Mylar, when you clean it, it smudges, it can tear easy, kinda hard to reuse..

yeah.
hope this helps.
