i am currently growing a few 'easy bud' and 'quick one' seeds that are 2 days into sprouting. they have just come out of the dark and are under my 60w 3500 lumens fluorescent, about 8inchs away until they get a bit stroger at which point it will move to 2inchs off the trops.

i am using a hydroponics system for this grow and it is my first time using this method. i have read loads and know my knowledge but lack any experience. i have read that i should set my timer to water the plants 3 times a day during light hours (18-6). how long should i leave the watering on for each of the three times and how do i know if they have been watered enough????? (they are in rock wool blocks atm)????? is three times right or would u recommend other? what else should/shouldn't or could i b doing?

what is my next step?????

all suggestion and help, advise people can put forwad to get the ball rolling would be really appreciated in these early days...

Is this drip or flood n drain. A seedlings in rockwool i wouldnt water more than once a day, maybe every couple days, rockwool holds a lot of water. Watering for about 15-30 min should be fine. Pick up the rockwool cube when its dry then after its been watered so you know how heavy it should feel. Once a day once a plant gets bigger should be enough, depending on your lights and environment.

thanks dude that was a big help, i just droped the light down to 2'' off the sprouts now they are a few days old and played around with the watering for the duration of the 18 hours cycle. iv got it down to 1 watering time for 15mins an hour into the light cycle. they are on a drip which by the end of the 15mins provides enough water to saturate the rock wool blocks and any excess runs back through the sweet ass easy system to get pumped again next time.....

IS ALL OF THIS OK FORNOW AND WHEN SHOULD I MOVE UP THE WATERING???

smppro is right, once a day is plenty. to b fair i would hand water for now until they are a couple of weeks old,its so easy to over water them especially in rockwool!

I agree too.. if the cubes aren't in hydrotron, I dip them at most once a day for a few seconds.. once you "plant" in hydrotron 3x a day 15 mins is good.
