a timer that works???? what kinda questions is that? buy a timer that times electronics.....check lowes, walmart, homedepot

ideally you will want one that is rated for 15+ amps, grounded, and has on/off settings every 15 minutes.
for a hydroponic system yeah, i prefer the digital timers for my lights, that way the pins dont get pushed in on accident and fuck everthing up..

i got mine for close to the same price, it has batteries in it so that it doesnt loose information if unplugged. unlike a pin timer that will stop counting the time if power is take away from it.

When it comes to electronics for your grow system, don't shop price, shop quality. Grow rooms have been known to burn down taking the entire house with it. This goes for quality, heavy guage extention cords too. Also, keep all electronic wires off the floor and keep the entire grow space neat and clean.

I have a push pin timer. It serves its purpose. I would like an electronic one but that in due time. I would recommend one that has a spot for ground on it. Some come with it and others without. But if it doesnt have one then you'll have to break the ground off of your light fixture, which I wouldn't recommend. Just my 2 cents worth.
