Just curious how long it is going to take before I will be smokin my ladies...i am growing 2 bag seeds in a rubbermaid stack grow box. I have 2 cfl 25 watt bulbs and I am 4 days in...i know I have some time ahead of me just wondering how much.
 
there are numerous factors involved in answering your question.... every strain is different and flowering times will vary and seeing as you are using bagseed there is really no way to tell... but figure roughly 7 to 10 weeks. You will then have to factor in the amount of time you keep them in vegetative growth.... so if you veg them for 3 weeks and then switch to 12/12... you can figure ROUGHLY 10 to 13 weeks... if you notice the leaves are fat implying an indica dom strain you can go with the lower estimate of that scale... more sativa dom and I would suspect the higher... but that is not set in stone... like I said.... varies quite a bit, but that should give you a basic guideline~
 
At 30 days from seed my plants were close to a foot tall with a ton of branches. I flipped to 12/12 and at 90 days they were almost 3 feet tall. 400W HPS in DWC though. I've seen plants under CFLs in soil at 6 weeks that were barely 8 inches tall and zero branches too. Point being? Way too many variables. It's up to you in the end.
 
seeing that you are growing in a rubbermaid container I might also suggest you skip the veg stage all together and just switch the lights to 12/12 now as your space is limited...you'll still probably have to LST if you plan on finishing them in there. If you have a taller area to flower them then by all means let them veg for a few weeks
 
it will make for a smaller yield, yes. But as I said unless you have a taller area to flower I would skip the veg.... if you grow them to a foot tall before switching to 12/12 they will likely be at least 3 feet when all is said and done...
 
Depends of allot of things. Normally you are looking at 60days+ once you start 12/12.
Some strains take longer some shorter.
Also the time it takes depends on the environment they are in too.
If you are using cfl's to flower they will take a bit longer then under hps.
Dont expect to much out of those little bulbs you wont get much bud using 2 25w bulbs for 2 plants.


The short of it is they are done when they are done.
Only way to tell that is get a magnifying glass or a jewelers loop. Got mine for $12 at my hydro store its a lighted 30x loop.
And watch the trichs when they go from clear to cloudy or cloudy to just turning amber it time to harvest depending on your preference.

I would suggest doing some reading on LST.... it will help you maximize your yield in a smaller space
 
I agree with Donniemcm look into LST. you can really do some amazing thing in a small space by Low Stress Training
 
well... the CFL's are probably the way to go mainly because any HID lighting would roast them in such a small container... I would get as many 2700K cfls as you can in there when you start flowering... which imo should be now... they will get WAY too big for that container if you veg them..... and still may for that matter unless you do some training of some sort... Ive had good luck with LED's but they arent cheap... so CFLS is what I'd reccomend if you want inexpensive
 
I cant really comment on nutes without some more info.... what soil are you using??? If they look good I wouldnt even worry about nutes until you start seeing flowers.... BUT... if you have issues then you'll want to look further into it... cross that bridge when you get to it
 
having said that.... a small dose of big bloom or something similar probably couldnt hurt.... but if it looks good and you're using decent soil I wouldnt worry about it just yet.... just my opinion
 
ok... you def dont want to add anything to that soil until you start getting flowers... and even then personally I'd wait maybe 2 weeks... and even then start slow and see how she reacts
 

  • whats up, im using a 6.5 ft grow tent with 2 400 watt long bulbs, i dont know the name but i know they are top of the line. i have 4 plants 2 chemdog a hawaiian snow and blue cheese . right now i am at 1 3/4 week on monday it will be 2 weeks. they are 6 inches at the moment. and leaves are lookng strong. should vegg for 3-4 weeks ? the dude from the coffee shopseed bank said flower for 9 weeks . will i yeild a decent amount? im not a dealer im a smoker so i dont need 1 pound off 1 plant lol​
