Time to start flush (or harvest)? Any experienced eyes for trichome close-ups?

I def knew it’s not there yet, but thought 2 week flush would put me in the right spot. The plant with the 20-30% brown pistils had 0% last Sunday. Was anticipating roughly the same progression... But yeah, all knowledge learnt will be put into the next grow.

Thanks, will post updates in a month, I am told...
I am quite happy with 2 of my 3 plants, everything I could have hoped for for a first indoor grow. I have concerns about my 3rd plant (I have 2 posts in the problem section, can post links if any interest?). All 3 plants from the same seed packet, same tent/light/nutes/temp/humidity, but 2 budded nicely and the other one is all wonky. Weird closed no-pistil buds...
You have 0 swelling of your calyx yet and it’s popping new pistils still. Once the pistils stop popping then the swelling starts.

please post back in here so we can guide you to a nice ripe harvest. Here’s what a ripe bud should look like.

Flushing is a technique hydro growers, like me, use. Every two weeks I run a low PPM solution through to leach any nutrient salt build up. Even growing hydro I never starve my plants at the end. I feed until harvest although my nutrient profile changes with maturity. Growing in soil with a microbial herd there's no reason to flush and no reason to starve your girls prior to harvest. Simply don't overfeed.

Your plants look good and you have an easy 4 week or so to go. Keep up the good work.
Thanks. Back to waiting...

True... Maybe one day I will be on the dispensing side! But not yet... ha ha
LOL, it's all good. The world has plenty of takers, it needs more growers. l have only been growing a year myself and have learned a ton. The biggest thing I have learned is I still have a lot to learn. Many great folks on this site with tons of experience to help guide you as they have me and many others here. Happy growing.

A little fox tailing but a series of small fires should fix her right up :bigjoint: :P

True true true... Thx!
It always just amazes me how long it takes. Everyone is just saying grow some weed... But then explaining the timeline with germination, seedling, veg, flowering, drying, curing everyone’s surprised it’s not just plant, harvest, smoke... And this is even just for a 7-week indica, not a 12-week Sativa.

Pictures are much easier to judge imo. Wait for your buds to get angry looking is my saying.
Not quite angry looking yet, but looking slightly less agreeable...

Looking great. Post again in a week, you’re getting closer
Hi...

Saturday will be week 10 (of claimed 7 week flower). Buds are looking proper angry now, but still not seeing much amber.

Chop-time?!

PS: I did chop one plant at week 8. In retrospect, can see now it was too early. But the buds do what they are supposed to, so can’t be too disappointed...DA8E6D81-C08C-4586-A7F9-FBE64DAA33B0.jpeg
