This is what equip I have for 1 or 2 veg rooms:
CFLs

2 85w 6500k
1 32w 6500k
2 42w 2700k
2 55w 2700k

T5 HO 22"
2 ZooMed 22w 5000k
1 ZooMed 22w 6500k

I understand the convenience of fluorescence (with space and money saving), prob use 2 blue:1 red, but the cfl design baffles me!!! I just don't know how much light is wasted when the damn things are twisted up. I know they give off more light from sides. Thinking bout T5s on top and cfls vertical and/or on side. Cab will be lined with panda. Any genius will be rewarded!

this is a little experiment i whipped together after 3 cups of coffee and unemployment. ended up with one 85w 6500k cfl, 2 42w 2700k cfls, and 2
t5 HO 23w 5000k. threw in 2 80 cfm PC fans for the box that rocks.

Well after the panda film melting after a min. I had to redesign. This time I went with two 85w 6500k CFLs and two 70w Philips CMHs. Think the lil ones are gonna love it.

Fuck it...gonna add a shelf and get CFL all up in that ass...took out the 70w CMH and added more CFL 6500ks and two more CFL 55w 2700ks. Thinking bout a CFL UVB light. Whatcha think y'all?

how many plants you are planning on growing?
There will be about 20 seedlings. Here's some updated pics. Still not done with cab that fits into this nice little spot in closet under attic. I want to replace the two 32w front and back CFLs with two 42w 5000k CFLs.

looks great redcarpet I have also tried lots of different designs for my veg room

one of the best I have every built, most productive and uses a very low amount of electric is a 3ft twin t5 light with a white reflector

I top, lst the plants to keep them short and bushy, took the plants out from under the t5's all of 42w of power and after lst the plants again I could fill a 3ft x3ft room and flower.
takes a little longer in veg, the veg room is 4ft (h) 4ft(L) x 2ft(w) and the t5's footprint is 3ft x 18" and I keep the tube 2" above the canopy

I have used a 125w blue cfl and the t5's gives a better light spread and uses less than half the power also the 5t give off less than half the heat

what are you planning on flowering this seedlings? CFL or HPS?

the setup looks great! at least it will do for the first couple of weeks for seedlings/clones. (by the amount of watts per plant)

I had 4 week old plants in there with hardly any stretch up to 8th node. Very healthy plants. I just topped them so I can raise shelf back up. I flower with CMH 400 watters. If I had the extra space I would definitely flower with CFLs to at least try it. If they work great for veg than I know it'll work for flower. I'd like to give that sun god komee lotus bulb a try! I got this baby packed right now.

nice setup!! great use of space too. I figure that the stretch over the amount of lighting is strain/genetic dependent too. Glad is working for your because they are looking healthy so far. keep those update coming bro, I'm going to be here for this!
