I think you are on point to go another week or two. Indica dominant strains can develop some great branching under the right lighting conditions and have some beautiful flowers during flower.

I have found that Indica's do well with lights with Royal Blue to develop more branching and more energy for growth, as well as added Red from 3500K to the mix to help with the stretch and growth.

Thank you for your advice brother!

Consider Plant will double in height during flower and plan accordingly. That is what I do. I have an 18" height max veg height based on my flower room height conditions. I use a line so I know when it is time to flip. I am a LAZY gardener, but I have found nature does so well when I step back and just watch and appreciate.

I could allow the plant to grow, vertically, another 24 inches max. I'm basing this on how high I should be able to raise my light, and flowering light distance.
What is your TOTAL height in the room? forget about how much longer you can veg for a second

I might use the same tactic for my future grows

Wen you consider how tall your plants will be at the end of flowering, you have to consider how much penetration your light can achieve to ensure your buds all get quality light. If your light can only penetrate 12 to 18" that is your height restriction not room height. My lights can penetrate 24" so I plan accordingly to reduce wasted energy on lower parts of plant not getting enough light. I strip lowers during early flower, as plants have most energy working through transition phase from veg to flower. During early flower phase I feed heavy veg nutrients for first two weeks and than go to flower phase feeding from then on to flush. unless you are in no-till than no flush needed.

I'd say 10 ft
nice, plenty of height, stick a DE hps in there and get some weight bro,lol.............seriously though, you can definitely veg more if you want, remember blurple light with tight lenses will be a serious limiting factor with big ladies

Because any green leaves on the plant provide energy to the plant to help it grow. You take the leaves off that is less energy for the plant.
What about lower colas that need light? Defoliation I feel like would greatly help right now.. she's growing very fast and I can see branching being shaded. I feel like a nice trimming is needed.

It's the leaves that photosynthesize, the colas don't do a whole lot. Any leaf on the plant will provide energy to the whole plant.

The best thing you can do is not take my word for it, or anybody else's for that matter either. Try different things with different grows and take thorough notes. Observe what happens and the results each time. See what works best for you.

Appreciate the advice, I took it. Did some good defoliation. Left some nice solar panels down low below colas.I'll update in 2 days.

I just need a good opinion on whether or not the plant is ready to flower. In the end, I'm looking for crazy dense buds per cola.
Based on the pictures and the apparent size of the grow space I would say yeah, its time to flip.

He's got a 20-gallon pot - that's a lot of root space! If he's got a 4x5 area and enough light, well, might as well use it IMO.

I'm not totally against a bit of manicuring, but I never advocate full-on plucking, because sogging is a much better alternative: that is, instead of plucking fan leaves to get light penetration, simply move the branches apart to let light in. IMO, the OP was on the right track with scrogging before he gave them a haircut - which I wouldn't have gone as far as - but hey, it's his plant.

Plants will grow where the light is. If there's not much light penetrating the lower canopy, its no big deal - the plants will concentrate their energy on the areas getting most light. The lower canopy leaves will simply yellow and drop as the plant uses up stored energy in them to boost growth in other areas. So even though those lower fan leaves aren't photosynthesising much, they still have stored energy the plant can use.

But like Kerovan said, you'll find these things out for yourself.
