It's not real red. It would be the greatest country on earth. People living their lives without being subjected to the will of some far right fanatics and a compromised Supreme Court that has become a political entity.
Pacifica would be self supporting. We don't need a damn thing from any red state. It would be the Real America or what America was always supposed to be.

wrong guy.....even though he did play one, the rangers have a long history here, and Mexico knows them to since they can't actually freely go into mexico to capture criminals and anywhere else in the US, basically it's Texas's FBI.....

nah, give it a little more time. In 10 to 15 years, the rest of the country will be more like California than the crackervilles they are now. Though I agree that then next few years are going to be filled with contention and violence. Got to hold the line.

I hate politics, but have to ask, where would you be getting your fresh water from that you're already critically short of? Wars will be fought for this commodity in the coming century, of that I have no doubt. It sounds like a wonderful place, but without water and the environmental conditions you have, I don't think it would be able to sustain very many people. Maybe the economy would be so successful they could afford to trade for it, but in the coming decades I don't see many places being willing to share. It would be a shame to lose so many good weed growers to a foreign country

It's ridiculous. How would 50 separate states deal with Putin or China? Who would decide the water wars between states? How would we achieve the coordinated business plans to compete with China, Japan, at al. How would an $800 billion defense budget & federal infrastructure budget be resolved?

If Cali quit watering all those golf courses there would be lots more water...

It's just that when you live in the south, the word secession leaves a really bad taste in your mouth. Especially if you're a veteran that swore an oath to defend the constitution and really believes in the country as a whole. Splitting it up, while possibly good for a few, makes us weaker as a whole, which doesn't make much sense to me I guess. That's why I usually stay out of the politics threads. I'm going back to my simpler world of ph problems and over watering. Those are problems I can usually solve in a day or two. I'll let you guys figure out the future of the Nation. Just keep me posted .
