Is there a time limit between the date of your doctor exam and when you send papers in to the state of Michigan?

Thanks in advance!

My wife called the state a month or two ago and they said you have 1 year from when the dr signs your paper to get them to the state. But YMMV

I am pretty sure that 3 months is all that lara is allowing for the time between the date on the certification and the time they process it. You may want to call them about it or better yet just get it in because I do not think you can trust the answer you will get over the phone. Pobably all depends on who you get and who answers your question at lara.

Here is the wording from their FAQ on Lara site. Keep in mind that the FAQ is not the law but should give you some kind of guideline.

Question: Why do I need to have a physician sign and date a "Physician Certification" form? Why can't I just provide my medical records?
Answer: According to the Michigan Medical Marihuana Act (MMMA), a physician must state in writing that the patient has a qualifying debilitating medical condition and that medical marihuana may mitigate the symptoms or effects of that condition. The MMMP contacts each physician during the application process to verify the patient is under the physician's care. A signed and dated "Physician Certification" must be current within 3 months of the date of a person's new or renewal application.
