Time Adjustment for Lighting?

Good day. I wondered if some more experienced growers could help me out with a question. I am growing 2 Autos, 1 is in early flower (started flowering this week) and 1 is a few weeks behind. With the summer heat settling in, the temps in my tent are touching 90 degrees. I am using LED lights on an 18/6 from 6am till midnight. I am considering leaving them on for an extra 14 hours and moving the dark period to the mid day hours from 2pm to 8pm. How much of an impact will that have on the flowering plant? Has anyone had to do this before? What, if anything, should I expect as far as a reaction from the plant? Thanks.

I'm alllll about consistency so I hate having to do things like that, but leave them dark and flip it like you said. I run a lot of hps and that's why I run a "reverse lights on/off schedule" also.
Best of luck!
(P.s. Being autos you it really shouldn't affect them anyway)

Because they're autos, I was planning to actually keep them in the light till 2pm tomorrow rather than shut it off at midnight tonight. I thought that because some people give them 24hrs of light I would be better off to have them in a prolonged light period as opposed to an extended dark period. Thank you for the feedback.
