Tiger bloom

I've been using the tiger bloom and got some of the ph up from the fish store. I have to add like 50 drops before it changes it at all. Is there a better or simpler way? Do I have the right stuff?

uh yea but your question doesnt make alot of sense. what does the PH question have to do w/ tiger bloom? are you adding the drops to the pure tiger bloom? what type tester are you using?

No I am adding the tiger bloom to tap water and then the ph is high. The bottle I got to bring the ph back up is pretty small so I am wondering if there is some other stuff I need to get. I knew the ph was going to be high it says it on the back of the bottle and I had been told here as well. For a tester I have strips also from the pet store. Thanks for the replies :-)

what ph balancer are you useing, sounds like liquid. I found out that with ph down, a little goes along freaking way down, and Up, it takes alot of up to get there.
So when I bought liquid down and powder up and mix my own up but very strong so a few drops gets it there. As for the Tiger Bloom "big fan" I love the stuff and I don't think it effects the ph too much.

Yes I am using liquid now. Where did you get the powder? I am testing with the strips and the lowest they go is 6.2. It takes a lot of drops to bring it up so I thought that it was alot lower than 6.2. Do people generally add tiger bloom right to thier plants or do they have to adjust ph? Will lime mixed in with the dirt help?
Thanks

Not sure I understand the question buds. I'm aiming for 6.8 right? 6.2 would be ok I guess but I think it's much lower than that.

I have never used tiger bloom on it's own, I use it conjunction with big bloom and grow big, and the 3 dry solubles. But I always adjust the ph of the solution after I mix it all with water.

If your having that big of an issue with ph up/down go to the local hydro shop and pick up a bottle of GH ph up/down, been using it for years and I like it.

I use it with GB and BB as well but not the others. do you think it would make much of a difference using the tiger bloom or not? Would it make a difference if it was indoors or out?

I find that the Foxfarm nutes are fairly neutral. I always PH after the nutes, just seems like the proper order.. Check ph (lets me know how fast the PH is rising), Check PPM, add nutes to proper ppm and check ph and adjust as needed. Im still really new tho :)

What PPM do you guys usually run at?

tiger bloom can bring it as low as 3.8 in hydro, takes alot to bring that shit back up, alot

You always want to adjust the PH after adding your nutes, wether liquid or powder. Its also best to get an electronic PH tester, you can get one at target for like 15 bucks. Its more accurate then the strips and a little more practical.

Also, I have noticed it can sometime take a bit of PH up or down to get it where you like but make sure you go slow and stir well before testing. Don't test right after adding the PH adjustment, because it just dilutes the area where you just added the Ph adjuster.

You can use Lemon juice and baking soda for PH up/down if you don't have any on hand.

Let me ask this. I was using the fox farms trio (GB,BB,TB) and all my leaves started to yellow and fall off. I used the fox farms feeding schedule and was adjusting my water with fish tank adjuster (up) after adding the Tiger bloom to my water. Added the Grow big for the past few weeks as the schedule explains and that didn't help. Then I ran out of ph up and so I have just been doing the gb and bb. should I not be doing the the grow big. Every thing seems fine except that the leaves are falling off. I am at day 47 of flowering. would too much nitrogen be bad? I am guessing that I should stop the gb and get some adjuster so that my plants get more P and less N. What do you think?
