Thrips?

Hi guys!

im running a good few plants in dwcI, 've always ran hydro set ups and never in my 7 years of growing come up against this issue

600w hps lights x 7 (only got 4 on atm)

30L buckets with air stones in

Nutes - shogun grow A&B, silicon, calmag and katana roots, also have silver bullet in there as a preventive to root rot.

Ec - 0.6/0.8

Ph - i drop it to 5.5 and it fluctuates, eventually ending up around 7 until i add ph down back into it.

Water temps are abit high at 23c, but the roots are all healthy nice thick and white.

room temp is around 26-28c with lights on and around 18c when lights are off.

plenty of air movement from 3 fans.

I've noticed SOME not all my plants have started to droop over/claw (it's not nitrogen toxicity) and some of the new growth seems stunted, light green/yellow and deformed.

i checked over the plants and found what i can see are thrips, they've been blasted with neem oil 2 weeks ago and again today, is it possible the thrips are to blame for the stunted growth etc or could there be something else going on?

Sorry for the bad pictures but it's all i could get at the moment.

thanks guys

I'm fighting thrips right now and it doesn't look like that. This looks more like russet mites I'm afraid.

It’s absolutely loaded with russets, you can see them all over this leaf. Micronized Sulfur dust will take them right out in veg. 5CA7E555-8F96-4869-B74F-F75CA1FE9095.jpeg
