Hi guys,

do you guys know why trichomes turn into amber when they dry?

This small item I collected a little sucker.

Same reason fruit continues to ripen after its harvested, it's not dead till it's dry or rotted. Metabolic processes continue until moisture levels can no longer sustain the plant.
Also, oxidization.

Then what will happen if you late harvest?

Too late the trichome will burst and start to decompose the plant material surrounding it. Burst may be the wrong word, rupture still sounds to violent, deflate? Ever get that brown weed back in the day? Tasted like crap but did the job? Late season harvest, overripe trichomes and heavens know what else.

All clear. When do you harvest? What is the indicators?
