hey yall, new here but been growing for years. ive used de lights for as long as they been out and been getting between 1.5 and 3.5 (my highest) per light with 0 defoliation. and i mean 0. i dont remove any leaves unless they dead or not getting light because they are covered by other leaves. i do believe that leaves that dont get enough light consumes part of the energy stored to stay alive until it starts to die off so thats the reason behind it. and i highly believe yield size is strain dependent hence the 1.5 to 3.5 per light fluctuation.

i got here because i too was searching for the pdf because a friend of mine told me about it and i was arguing with him that defoliation makes 0 sense. and thats my 2 cents.

1 m2 is about 10ft^2,a 5x5 tent is 25ft^2 thats 2.5m2

Square ft ÷ by 10= the number of m2

so if the yield is suppose to be 500g per m2 that means if u have a full canopy, your whole grow space if full, and your plants are healthy u will have on average 500g×2.5m2=1250g

Although I like the 'now I've heard it all' sentiment, I can say that insane defoliation ALWAYS requires nutrient adjustment when you first strip them. No, heavy defoliation is not a new technique and it's certainly not so difficult that it warrants the price of the book. But, when you rid the plant of it's built-in 'reservoirs', you do need to know what needs to be replaced, and pronto, since the plants have nowhere to get what they need except for from the root zone. The nutrient line provided by success does actually address that issue. It's like a regimen for noobs to bang out weight. I disagree with the whole concept. I'd be happier with a 300g run of top-shelf, clean herb, than I would be with some juiced up mids any day. Quality before quantity ALWAYS. To hell with big canna and all that it represents. I guess people have forgotten that money is NOT actually a requirement to sustain life and it certainly does not ensure happiness. . .look at the number of influencer and celebrity suicides.....

I enjoy growing so much that three on a light is insane I like herb fresh and variety. The three lbs to a light is not a goal.

I feel like if u water coco daily until runoff or grow hydroponicly the plants are getting what they need daily. Like u said its not rocket science

Same if you are growing in Living Soil. The Soil Food Web is capable of providing the plant with exactly what it wants whenever it wants it.
