Do you believe the US drone program should be outlawed?

Media portrayal definitely has a huge role in what people care about.

Why do you think the media lies?
My father told me, while he was working at State, that what was on the news bore little relation to the facts on the ground. It's gotten worse since then.

"Bad News" by Tom Fenton, former CBS News Senior Correspondent. An eye opening read that will confirm your suspicions about media bias and educate you about the role of misinformation in modern society.

Why, you ask?! Control of information is the biggest kind of power! Make people believe what you want and there's no need for coercion! Fuck, you can actually make them actively work AGAINST their own best interests! How else to describe republicans making less than $250k/yr?

You don't think the state of governance of our country affects you? What do you think you could accomplish in your life with 50% more buying power? Just because you don't see the connection doesn't mean it isn't there.

And why not bring children to a protest? You afraid to teach them citizen empowerment in a democracy? Besides, the more violent tendencies of the police will be blunted as soon as they know kids are there. They'll bring news media attention, too.
We don't need to protest for $15 it's already happening plus those are all fast food workers and shit I'd rather my daughter work for more than minimum wage personally. Sure I worked a few minimum wage jobs but I was a teenager so minimum wage is a bit of a joke. Buying power will not be double either prices will go up especially in service industries foreign goods will stay cheap though but even farms will need more money.

Not to mention my idea of a family day out is a little bit more fun. Politics are not very fun and no protests nearby.

Wrong thread. This one is about runaway militarism and the indiscriminate use of drones.

Also known as a crime against humanity.

So everyone that can get handouts should be Democrats? Seems like a pretty insulting position for Democrats.

Pretty amazing to see this written by someone who continually posts articles from Al Jazeera, a propaganda machine owned by the Qatari royal family, as if they were reliable sources for facts.

It isn't a cheap shot; if you look at what republicans actually enact as opposed to their advertised platforms, you'll see the source of corporate power and aristocracy. Democrats went along in order to compete- at least for the almighty dollar.

Notice they don't care about lowering taxes on wages, however.

He pulled out all the troops and expanded use of drones.

Sorry to burst you bubble.

Im surprised you can handle defending obamas expanded use of drones AND ISIS.

Your stamina for defending filth never ceases to amaze.

So what do the Democunts actually enact?? Obama has had 8 years to do something about the Patriot Act but he just kept it. Not to mention the FBI investigated that gay club shooter twice so not like they are going to prevent terrorism with the Patriot Act.
