I used to knock MG. But I have a friend with a greenhouse & he uses only MG and his plants grow fantastic. And as much as I hate to admit it, taste pretty good!

So I've quit knocking it.

Go ahead use it, I've seen some great results

I took my mg organic choice

60% mgoc
20% perlite
20% shpagnum peatmoss. All in 5 gallon pots. Not one prob. Heres 3 plants i have using that mix. All 3 about 3 weeks old i think lol

none of that matters, what matters is, what do your buds look and taste like when finished? I personally like to add my nutes at the strengh and intervals that I choose, which is based on what that specific plant needs.

So how the plant grows doesnt matter? So if the plant has burns everywhere doesnt matter then since how it grows doesnt matter. Quit knocking they turn out fine.

Do you have any idea HOW a plant grows? Do you have any idea HOW those supposed chemical ferts are produced? Do you know the difference between NH4 or NO3-N? What about the biological processes that convert one to the other? Are biological processes ever important in the use of commercial ferts? When you move from zealotry to science the rarefied air of objectivity ensures the view is clear.

I use both commercial ferts AND organic in combination. I do it that way because I know what I am trying to accomplish and how to get there. Don't knock it they turn out great.

I'd say my plant is about four feet and doing pretty good so far. Think it would be a good idea to just dig a hole in the ground and get some decent mix (probably Foxfarm) and transplant it into the ground or would that just be too risky at this point?

Does anyone have any methods of removing or reducing these gnats because I too am noticing a whole lot of them hanging around the dirt. I don't think they're really a problem because as far as i know they don't mess with the plant?
