Thoughts on this Shroom grow?

Yo, I'm wanting to start my first grow soon and I had a few questions.

First, would it be possible to just skip the knocking up of the jars and just inject the spores into a tub of horse poo? I know that isn't very clear, so let me explain.

I've read several grows where the user uses jars of various materials to colonize, then they move that to a fruiting chamber....I guess what I'm asking is, can you colonize the fruiting chamber?

If you think it's possible, could you give some pointers that might help with said grow, if not what is the easiest way?

the easiest way is the pf tek. google it.
but no you cant just colonize your fruting chamber.
mycellium grows in the dark.so you start it in the jars first, then you
move it out of the dark (out of your jars) and into the light (in your fruting chamber) which makes the mushrooms grow.
if you tried to innoculate something and try to get it to colonize in the light it will be a very slow process with
little to no results.

Ok, so after reading OZZ's guide, I have a couple MOAR questions. ha.

What I'm not getting is how he's introducing the colony into the tub.

He colonized jars, but then what? You take the cake and put on a layer of poo the cover with poo?

Also, in place of the poo, could you use BRF and Verm as the substrate?

no you take you jars and crumble really fine. then you mix with a ration of 1 jars equals jars of poo. once you added in all your jars and poo mix well. wait for it to recolonize then fruit it

So it's ok to crumble up the colony? sorry for the newb questions, but thanks all the same!

take colonized subtrate in jar

crumble really fine

mix very well with the poop. ratio 1 part substrate 3 parts poo

mix some more

place in your tub

let it colonized again in the dark

once its done colonizing fruit it

That's the only other question I can think of right now.

thats what your substrate will be. 4 parts verm 1 part brown rice flower 1 part water you only use "manure" as the spawn.

Ohhh.. Ok, I get it now. So, you use the substrate to start the spores. then spawn 'em in the manure. haha. feel like a dumb-ass now. Thanks man, now it's time to make my shopping list. Oh, just one more question if you don't mind.

What is the best strain to start with?

B+, Golden Teachers, Cambodians. There all going to be the same in potency as a cube is a cube. But these 3 are great starters.

no just mix your jars with your manure with that 1:1 or 1:3 ratio. place that in your chamber

But I don't have any manure...That's the main thing keeping me from going forward.

Is there something I can substitute?

coir, buy it at a pet store. its used as reptile bedding
