While you are entitled to your own opinion and I agree with some of it. Most of us "whiners" are folks who have been growing for years because we feel it is an injustice in how the hypocritical and almost random/selective "legal" drugs are readily available to all who need them, along with their incredible side-effects. Yet, because we choose MJ as our medicine, we have to be continually ducking and hiding, or go along with the law-of-the-day and pay ridiculous prices for something we can grow ourselves for around $1/gram. While you may not see it as an injustice, and seem to be willing to play along with whatever and whoever rules the day, that's your prerogative. I, and many others are not. Yes I use it for cancer, I supply some close friends who are also dealing with cancer, and I like it as a recreational drug as well, shoot me. This plant can save lives and/or make life just a little more tolerable for many illnesses. Due to some arbitrary decision many years ago to classify it as illegal, along with the ensuing government fear-mongering/propaganda, we have a plant which has essentially been wasted for years. Excuse me or others for fighting injustice, people with your bend me over and fuck me again attitude is exactly why we're still fighting. Someone has to.
GroErr, my complaint is not about people fighting for their rights and the fact that we have gone backwards with the MMPR. My issue is with the tone of some of these complaints. It is counterproductive and only giving ammunition to a government that is trying to show that we are just a bunch of stoners who found a loophole.

Leaffan, I am very well educated about the system and I fully understand the differences between the MMAR and the MMPR, I also fully understand that the MMPR is a version specifically designed by the Conservative to meet the imposed ruling of the supreme court while creating a system that somewhat complies with their own ideological agenda.

My position is simple, we have made some progress, is it perfect? NO! But its better than it was 20 years ago and thank you to the SCC for at least making sure we can keep what we have, we came close to losing it all again. If we want to get better access and the right to grow back, for those who actually want that, then there is only one way to do it. Vote dammit!

We have not made progress!
Is it better than 2 years ago?
We came close to full legalization not losing it.

Hi. I'm also a tilray user and I'm on the fence.
I can't afford my full prescription because of the prices. I would of loved to of had the option of growing my own or finding someone close who could help.
Maybe I'm just to new and ignorant but I just don't know who to turn too or talk too.

If you are "new" then your choices are limited.
I can grow because of an old licence under the MMAR that was extended pending a court hearing next Feb.
You can either comply and buy from an MMPR LP with a doctor's note or,
you can break the law and grow your own or buy it from a dealer or CC.
The BM and CC prices are close to the LP prices, there are some rare deals out there...
You found the right place to come and learn and talk, welcome...

Thanks! And I've tried a couple other sources and it's been met with discouraging results.
And I get the negative reactions from people. It really isn't the producers fault at all. How can you blame companies who are trying to help us?

What other sources?
Well...I for one expected so much more from these LPs. Their pricing level, the quality of their product, their lack of an inventory system, their customer service....it's quite an extensive complaint list.
I would say the LPs are not trying to help you, rather they are interested in making money.
Having said that...I think there should be both a MMPR program and a MMAR program.

Meimei these companies are triing to help there bank accounts not The patients. If they were they would have never invested in this fledging system. They would have seen the injustice of charging someone 8$ to 10$ a gram when in the mmar it was 1$ a gram. So for instance my script would be over a grand a month. How could anyone on a limited income afford these outlandish prices is beyond me.

Peace

I find it funny that right after Tilray shits the bed and decides to censor their patients and raise prices, there is suddenly an influx of people defending the MMPR and L.Ps, especially Tilray, on the forum I linked to I my last post allowed on their Facebook page.

Read lots here and then read some more and when you're done that read yet again. Information is your friend and their are lots of extremely knowledgeable folks here. Ask questions and you'll get as many answers as you need.

Oh and welcome!

And as for the guy that said they have to charge high prices in the beginning to recover their investments, would you be cool with someone who opens up a new Tim Hortons franchise deciding to charge $15 for a small double double for the first 6 months to a year they're open to recover his investment in the franchise? I don't fucking think so! Fortunately coffee shops are still an open market, for now.....

As an American living in a non med state it blows my mind that people are complaining about not having access to certain strains or paying $9 a gram or not being able to buy less than 25 grams. Where i live, a gram can cost $20 USD and an arrest record. The strains we get to choose from are mids or dank. Anything over 28 grams is a felony, you loose your job, your right to vote, your right to own guns, you go to jail, your credit is fucked up and nobody will hire you for about five years.

If you really think your being treated so badly, you should contact the UN and report the crime against humanity that is having to pay $9 a gram. Or you could do like the rest of us. If the system doesn't work and isn't showing signs of changing, don't operate within it. You've been given an option. It may be a shitty one but if you don't like it, don't deal with it.

Well if your gonna use that argument, the other day I was looking online for a new TV. I accidentally went to the American best buy site. Saw the same TV for 1500 less than it sells for here. And you guys have black Friday on top of that. And property is cheaper. And gas, even though it comes from a 10 minute drive from my house. The fact remains that we had our rights taken from us where you never had those rights in the first place. if you don't like the fact that you don't live in a medical state, move to one. We live in a medical country that treats it's patients like crap. If you don't know anything about the Canadian situation, don't post on a forum for Canadian patients.

Lets see ...maybe we should put it this way...
How would you feel if they took away your guns?
