Thanks. Getting anxious. Smells awesome
Be strong man, wait until its ready, you can do it. My 1st grow I pulled it to early and looking back, I could have gotten 2-3x more then I did. Your lady is huge and I would guess each week she is giving you another half ounce.

ya...but common sense will let you kno wen the best time is...the last week or two is wen heads get jumbo and start to make flavonoids...then the plants will sap w thc .water w carbo for flush ..u have wks to go and ferts avail in ur substrate...b patient..u will kno 4 sure...u can tell wen a rose is a bit past due and leaves fall and it smellls insane is fully developed and gorgous...all flwrs for that matter are the same..u dnt need a botany degree to know wen the time is right ... purely trichomes as a method of time to harvest can lie like rug..blessings champ

sorry james murphy, but that answer is completely false. common sense has nothing to do with when to harvest. it's all about the trichomes.

There is some truth to what he is saying, but not the best advise for a newb. After you've been doing this for a while, yes, you sure can look at a plant and tell when it's ready. BUT, I would never expect that of someone new to growing. C'mon man, help the new comer out bruh.

If you don't have a loupe or a microscope you can wait till most of the hairs turn colors and recede into the calyxes. Also the calyxes themselves will start to swell.

Btw welcome to RIU @Dre1173

agreed GG. when i started, i had a small scope. i went totally by it. over the years, i began to notice the hair receding and the swelling and started to put it all together.

i just had a grow of aurora indica. i grew it a few years ago and it went 65 days. this time, just happened to look at her under a scope and she was done at day 53. didn't look done but after smoking it, she def was. or maybe my eyesight is just going to shit?

also, a scope is invaluable for mite and other tiny insects.
good luck OP!

i know of genetics that have purple or brown trichs from the get go..,so there goes the look at trichomes theory...plant puts out majority of thc in the last weak or so. look at caylexs are they swollen...they will swell and hair starts to die off as the final blast of thc comes out.rkym...its not only about trichome looks..its the overall plant...put that in ur pipe and smoke it...25 yrs of experience walks the walk the not just talks the talk.
