Thoughts on defoliating guy?

Hi guys. Just repoted these Into there final pots and was wondering if people defoliate at this age to get rid of some of the lower leaves? They just over 4 weeks old from seed

I would do an LST for now, get some more colas growing, then figure out where to defoliate

i always wait till my plants are at least 4 or 5 feet tall before i take a leaf off and then i only take 1 or two off because it is hard to water with the leaf in the way

My thoughts. When I get a well established fifth or sixth node, I remove everything under 4 because it never amounts to much in my grows.
After that, I tie down nodes, bend, fold and tuck fans out of the way. But I grow autos, and you can't stress an auto.

i usually strip pretty early on after topping.






then major training and another heavy pruning.




then wait a week for them to recover and flip to flower.


Nuthin wrong with that canopy.

They look great and appear to have good air circulation. Let the girls bush for now.

I take off leaves that touch the soil as having your leaves touching the soil is supposed to be a good way to get powdery mildew. I tried a heavy defoliation this grow (schwazzed) and I'm getting leaf drop in week 6 of flower for the first time. Don't think I'll be doing that again.
