i would suggest root guards to cover the rockwool , they will get algae and from there it is downhill,, anything to cover them.

The rockwool is surrounded by my hydroton, what else may need to be done?

I need more room I want to have my mh/hps system going soon. Waiting on a location to open up then it's on

Oh ok. I'm glad to know there is a reason for it being there. I thought you just tossed some laundry and the sock ended up there. I was thinking to myself, "why the hell doesn't this guy roll that thing up with the other one?" hahaha

I'm dying to start my large grow.
I have grown mostly in soil. If i make this dwc to harvest it will be my first. My other hydro setup was found

the tops are not, and have nutes in them , which will cause algae. It's not so much of a problen when the plants are larger and have foilage to block the light. Cut a small black trash bag and cover the rockwool & netpot. I have seen ppl use a piece of paper but that is a temp fix, they sell white plastic root guards , I just make my own.

if ya used a hole saw for your lid the cut out from that that works great . i always save mine.

did you get to finish them? how was sage? supposed to be top notch head stash

the ones they sell have about a quarter size hole in them with a slit in the side to take them on and off. but that wont help ya much right now. also hleps to block light leaks .. i try to bury my rockwool in the hydroton also to keep the light off it. best of luck

The soil grow is in ending flowering stages, it's my dads med grow. The sage is the best looking of the 3
