This stuff?

Perhaps this is an odd/stupid question but in my mind I think it's a good idea. If I make female pollen off of 2 different strains, is it ok to do half a plant with each? I'd probably do like a 2 branch (manifold?) Set up to help keep separation of the strains.
I used to do this before I added a completely separate breeding grow environment separate from my production grows. Now I do only entire plants.

If you're really careful pollinating the plants and you label the branches, you'll be good.

In week 9 with a fem auto, and I have 2 questions
1- I didn't spray anywhere near the top cola, but pods have been forming for maybe 2 weeks, is it possible some of the lower sacks opened and self pollinated?
2- the lower pollen sacks are starting to open a couple at the time, should I just shake it on wax papper or clip them and open them to collect?

1. Please show us pictures

2. What I used to do before I set up a separate breeding environment, was cut the pollinated branches off when they were close, and stick them in a vase of water in another room of the house. I use bristol board to put this vase on top of. The pollen will naturally start falling as the sacks open. At some point, so many will be open that you'll just have to shake the branches and let the pollen fall onto the board.

It's too hard via those pictures for me to identify what's happened to the cola. It does appear that it grew a couple of nanners.

The lower branches though can definitely be cut off and moved to a different location, in water like I said. Throw a CFL into a box or closet, and that's all it needs. The sacks will open up mostly all on their own.

Sweet. I may play with that pollen some, but now I'm feeling some confidence that I can make it. Got a couple of strains coming that I definitely want to work with. I'll get better pics tomorrow when lights are on.
Thanks for the input

No dont open it will be wet un usable wait till they open naturally. Wax paper will work to or a kief screen.
