i want to buy one of theses for one of my plants, but its not like those huge reflector things that cost like 50$ more i was wondering if this can hold a 150 watt hps with no other requirements because my growbox is limited i want to cut a hole ontop of my box and just put this in, will this work?

well i couldnt find it anywhere else online and ive read that you can get great results on one plant with a 150watt hps

yes it will work. that is what they call a low bay celling light. just remember that the housing is going to get very hot so cutting a hole for the light housing to poke threw is not a good idea.

You know what I messed up and I apologize. I didnt read it through like I should of. Yea without the ballast it does seem not to bad. I havent really looked for HID lights like that. I always have had them with ballast. I wonder if it would produce as much though. If it does produce the same light with out a ballast I would say it isnt too bad. It would save on electric costs. You could probably get a 150 watt bulb at lowes or home depot.

ha yes ! thank you i was getting second thoughts about this, yea the bulb i should get soon jus pending on this , so i dont need a ballast? nothing else but the bulb right?

It dont look like you need a ballast as it has a plug in.
