Water the soil evenly, not just around the seedling. The roots start exploring almost as soon as the plant hits new medium.

I noticed you don't have drain holes in your starter cups. They will help you avoid root rot via over-watering.

Because you went straight from a starter cup to a big pot you will waste weeks waiting for substantial growth. The greenery will not grow much until the roots hit the bottom or side of the huge pot. That is why we like to use intermediate pots between the cups and the finishing pot. I use 7 inch square berry pots after TP'ing from cups. Roots bottom out quickly and that tells the pot to start vegging.

Your seedling may toothpick (long skinny main stem) so have a brace made up ahead of time to support the plant and place it just below thw first node. It is too easy to water a toothpick and watch the plant collapse.

How do you know there are no drain holes? How can you see the bottoms?

I always go from no a starter cup/pot to a larger container. This process doesn't cause any issues.

That's overflow. I would use a cheapie food storage container for a saucer check out these two .50 Walmart reusable grocery bag(approx 5 gal), dollar store 13x9 cake storage container. You don't need to spend 4-5 dollars a grow bag and even more for the saucer. I'm all about cheap, effective hacks. If you're going to continue to use the plastic bag, roll it down those roots need air.

I have holes at the bottom and slits going all around each cup, i added the slits for extra drainage. Up to how old do you keep them in their cups?

6 days later, this is thier progress. The biggest one is 13 days old now, but their is one that's a few days behind in age that is catching up in size. Any advice on what age to begin hardening them off for the outdoors? I have an area for them out back. Screenshot_20211102-125105_Gallery.jpg
