the metric system rules however

fahrenheit is way more accurate

here's an example

say you want to set your heating in your home, and I'm assuming that heating systems that go be Celsius only go in whole numbers. If I'm wrong that my point completely sucks but lets continue...Celsius jumps by like 2 and something odd degrees F for every degree C. Not comfortable!

But other than that I'm all for converting to metrics. American Football will be devastated though! the length of the field excluding the endzones would be 91 meters. Madness!

bluntmasta, dunno.. i never had problems with celsius.. i cant even think of regulating temperature with more than 1C accuracy. we - europians cant even feel 0.5C up or down :D

the one thing about F is...

normal temps are usually positive, so you don't have to say negative all the time when it's something average for winter time like 20 degrees. And most places in the US don't get above 90 unless you live in the south west. A nice summertime day in the midwest is in the 70s. A crisp Autumn day is in the 50s. I think the last things that will change to the metric system in the US are gallons, miles, and F. Gallons, cause liters are really fuckin confusing when you're buying gas. Miles, cause there's a shitload of signs everywhere. And F, cause we're all too lazy to learn what temperatures are in C. Most other measurements in metric americans already know. Meters are really easy and obvious...grams and kgs well, we all do drugs here so we should know that. And Thats really all anyone uses in the real world...unless you're cooking or getting gas then you use volume. Everything else is already used in the english system or totally pointless to know for normal everyday stuff.
