This is my first time growing and i gots some questions..

ok guys, its either ak47, or white widow. dont ask why im not sure cause its a stupid answer hah.
anyways its one plant, and its basically growing in a cupboard in my room.
i am living with my parents so im being very sneaky about it.

my first question is how can i control the smell?
right now its only 1.3 weeks old, and it obviously does not smell. but im sure it will when it grows up soo....
yea is there a way i can just put a fan in the cupboard its in and put some kind of odor neutralizing filter on it (maybe carbon?) and just let circulate that air constantly to make it so it doesnt smell? and if so what kinda fan and where can i find one?

second question has to do with heat, its cold in my basement where my room is. if i put the pot its planted in on a candle warmer would it be to hot? i dont want to fry my plant so yeah i wanna make sure that will work, or do i not even need it?

my third question has to do with height.
- if its possible i want my plant to grow bushy rather than tall and stalk like. it has to be bushy because like i said its in a freakin' cupboard and there isnt exactly a lot of room to for it to grow very tall at all.

and for right now, those are all my questions i have.

really the most important one is the smell cause that's the one that would be noticeable by anyone other than me.

anyways i hope you guys can answer my questions cause i could really use some help here.

i dont think your gonna get much respect with this question. you should never grow in your parents house without thier permission thats just fucking stupid. so im not gonna help you i hope no one else does either. this is an 18+ website so i hope you are of age. if you wanted advise you shouldnt have said that

sk8 has a good point. Growing in your parent's house without their consent is not a good idea. It's going to be really easy to get caught and is not very considerate to your parents. With that said...

1)Smell is going to be the most difficult part to control. Without an airtight growing space, odor will leak out. If you can burn candles, do that to cover smell. One of those ionizer fans might help. BUT, you really can't control odor that well in a cabinet in your room. You need to have a closed area with a carbon scrubber attached to an exhaust fan.
2)NO. DON'T PUT A CANDLE WARMER UNDERNEATH YOUR PLANT. First off, it's a safety hazard as it would get way too hot and risk fire. So obviously this is too hot for a plant's sensitive roots. Some options are heating pads that are made specifically for plants. DONT USE ORDINARY HEATING PADS.
3)Search for LST or Topping techniques. They either cut or tie-down plants to produce bushier plants.

Once again though, growing without the consent of your parents is not wise. Your risk of getting caught is extremely high. Most importantly, BE CAREFUL and SAFE!!
If you cannot properly grow safely, then don't risk it. Wait until you have a good opportunity to plant some seeds.

actually you should look up fiming if your considering topping. its called fim, (fuck i missed)

I'm just making sure that you didn't understand what the other posters said. But put the candles on the OUTSIDE of the cabinet. Don't want your plants to catch fire.

Yeah it's called topping. When you cut of one part, two will form out at a "V". FIMming is another form of topping where you can get 4 sections to grow out of one. A clean, sterile razor blade is the best tool to use, as it makes a nice clean cut.

im like you, i have a small area to work with and im tryin to keep it on the low...i noticed theres not much info on this thread about smell/odor control...if you have a ventalation fan of some sort consider using dryer sheets. I have them on my outake fans but you have to keep changing them so just buy a box and keep it handy also you may want to try carbon scrubbers on your fans odor is very difficult to control. It depends on how well you need to control the odor and how quiet your ventalation set up is, and how well you are looking to hide this from parents.

you r not going to be able to hide it and at least be smart and dont show it off to ur pals so the mod squad isnt kicking ur paernts door down. but hey i was young once did things like try to grow in my bedroom i would tell u not to flower in the house and just clone it out for warmer weather and an outdoor grow less smell for u safer for ur folks

if i were you i would get a low odor strain like northern lights or a few other which are recommended here on riu that way you aint got to worry about the odor as much i have ten northerns growing (i think ) because there virtually no smell to them yet any ways

i heard master kush doesnt smell to strong but your still gonna have issues

okay okay i get it bad idea to grow in parents house but i feel that its little late now, ive spent to much time hiding it and setting it up to throw it away now.

and odor control is my biggest problem, but im gonna look up that odor block off of amazon, hopefully its something useful lol

and i need help picking out a light, has to be relatively cheap, shouldnt get too hot, cant be high wattage
i was thinking maybe a full spectrum fluorescent bulb would do great.

sound like itd work? or no?
