I found that it is not as hard as I thought it would be to meet with your State Senator or State Congressman one on one or at least face to face.

You simply click on the links below (one is for your state congressman and the other is for you state senator) and fill in your address and it will automatically send you to their website. Once there email or call and ask if the Congressman meets with constitutes, if so when and where and can I please make an appointment.

This one is for your state congressman.

I realize that I'm lucky that my senator is head of Health Policy. But, if you do not reach out in a meaningful way to your senator/congressman it will all be for not. And all of our information will be publicly available and that is unacceptable to me.

When they make the list available to the Michigan State Police it is no longer completely confidential. That file is not covered under the HIIPA. Anyone could FOIA the complete file that is why it is important to stop this in it's tracks.

Schuette has already violated HIPPA and given information to the feds. He was the first AG in any state to do this. As a matter of fact this is one of the 2 reasons accepted by the CEC for his recall petition.

Other AG's in other states have fought the feds on this issue and did not comply to their request to turn this information over to them. Schuette just bent right over for them, or bent us over, however you want to look at it.

You're right JOC, but that's also not the entire point. Documentation with each and every one of our names and addresses is sitting on someone’s desk at the DEA's office. That documentation contains medical information for each of us. Personally I do not care who sees my medical information, that's not the issue for me. However it is my constitutional right to have that information remain private unless I consent to its release. Bill Shitty has made that decision for not only me, but all registered patients and caregivers in the state - as you know. My issue with this is that the AG more or less said "Fuck your rights, this is what you're going to do and this is how you're going to do it".


Winter Woman also brought up another point that I didn't think of. Now that that information has been released, ANYONE can Freedom of Information Act that information. Again I could care less who knows about me specifically - as you say I have nothing to hide. However I am an extremist when it comes to my privacy. If anyone is going to release my information it should rightfully be me.

Any theives out there hear this: If I see you, I will shoot until my clip is empty, reload, and shoot again. This isn't for only marijuana theives, but to all theives. Earn your own shit, don't steal it.

A provision in the state’s Medical marijuana Act both promises patients their information will be kept private, and makes it a misdemeanor for a government employee to disclose confidential information about a registered medical marijuana patient or caregiver. ok so bill schuettee is guilty of about 200000 misdemenoers

Well, schuette only release the information of 3 people to the feds, not everyone. However it goes to show if the feds did request everyones info, he would gladly oblige.

I think that you guys might be wrong here....I'm pretty sure that the files released to the feds numbered some where around 10 and they where involved with those raids in Ferndale, Waterford and Walled Lake. Correct me if I'm wrong and if the fed does have everyone's record, then there is no excuse for anyone but a fed conducting these raids and investigations...

Here's the wording for SB 377

WITHIN 48 HOURS AFTER ISSUING A REGISTRY IDENTIFICATION CARD, THE DEPARTMENT SHALL FORWARD INFORMATION CONCERNING ISSUANCE OF THE CARD TO THE DEPARTMENT OF STATE POLICE. THE DEPARTMENT OF STATE POLICE SHALL MAKE THE INFORMATION CONCERNING REGISTRY IDENTIFICATION CARDS AVAILABLE TO STATE AND LOCAL POLICE OFFICERS IN A FORM THAT ALLOWS IMMEDIATE ACCESS TO INFORMATION NECESSARY TO DETERMINE WHETHER AN INDIVIDUAL IN CUSTODY FOR POSSESSION OR DISTRIBUTION OF MARIHUANA POSSESSION IS A QUALIFYING PATIENT OR PRIMARY CAREGIVER

48 hours sure they do that part fast but take five months to give you a card thats funny. i think thats saying you cant be held in jail for possession if your a card holder.
