On a regular basis i see people talk of hermies. Some gardners even post full blown males and say wow another hermie.
While most gardners are early in the learning curve you should understand these plants are not all that common. Some strains produce alot of hermies but that is from the genitic makeup. since i have a very large garden they are not always seen early like someone who has 3-6 plants.
i use 3 flowering rooms this is to insure when i do want to breed these plants are seperate from the Sensi crop. when i am flowering plants for the first time they never go to the sensi room.
Below is a few pictures of a hermie i raise in the pollonation room, this plant will flower after 2 weeks of 12/12 at 5 1/2 weeks of 12/12 these male flowers occur. however it is most always too late to make viable seeds. so i took clones and flowered one 2 weeks ahead and use its pollen to breed its clone 1 pollen to clone 2. this results in seeds that have 4 weeks to mature 95% of these seeds are female, however 1 of 15 will be another hermie.
it is best to avoid hermies in our garden unless you want to breed " bad genitics into your crops". i keep certain hermies based on yeild and thc levels.
This hermie is from skywalker and is stronger than any of the female plants i raise of this strain. yeilds are small but the bud is stinky sticky and gets top dollar per gram even with a few seeds. adverage 4 foot plant 2.25 ounces dried under 1k hps
