Withthe increasing popularity of t5 growing, it should be called Flouro Growing instead of CFL Growing. Just sayin'

If there is going to be a forum for cfls there should be a forum for other flouros. Putting them together makes more sense since most of that is to be said about cfls applies to t5s as well, except t5s are better.

t5,8,and 12 are tube style light bulbs which are different lengths. Just like shop lights.

basicly, how they classify florescent tube lighting.

top=t5
middle=t8
bottom=t12

t5 just happens to have the best lumen/watt ratio of 80+

Speaking of T 5's don't buy HTGSupply's fluoro brand. They suck! I bought one not even a year ago, the thing burned out two sets of lights then crapped out on me. What a waste of 80 bucks. I just ended up gutting it and using it as a reflector for cfls. Ive heard they make some good hid lights, but I am weary of purchasing anything that is Htg branded anymore.
