This election was terrible for MM

In this election there where ballot initiatives about medical marijuana in three states in every state the measure was rejected here are the results
Oregon: NO %57.2 YES %42.8
Arizona: NO %50.3 YES %49.7
South Dakota: NO %63.3 YES %36.7

and of cource we all know what happened in Cali. What a disappointment. For those of you who live in these states and did not take the time to vote or who voted NO, . Congratulations you remained silent when you had a chance to erode the unjust system. Good job!

2012 will be here sooner then we think, and with the RIGHT law, we can do this! Imo this law failed because it was poorly written, and divided our community. With a better law that I think is a lot more fair and balanced, we can do it.

Wow so close in AZ

Dont forget New York state just elected a new Gov. who openly addmits to have smoked pot and has also now come out publicly that he see MMJ as a danger and will not support MMJ bills that have already been passed threw senate and that 60%+ of the state want.

I dont want to be negative but we shouldnt have to wait for this. 2 more years without MMJ in NYS means I get to spend 2 more years becoming dependtant on hard core pain killer while other in my state suffer worse and die.

You can wait I cant. I dont wana end up in rehab cause I become additted to pain killers but if I run the risk of using pot I end up in jail. SO its rehab or jail yea awesome thanks.

I'm sorry, I was referring to CA specifically. I should have pointed that out. I'm sorry that you can not legally obtain your medicine in the state you live. Keep fighting for it and it WILL happen.

I dont know but as soon as one flies you damn well better belive I will be posting on you tube. So if you see a you tube vid titled monkeys out my ass that means NYS passed MMJ and I can stop taking my pills.

I read in a couple different stories pertaining to mmj that many measures didnt pass because the 35 and under age group doesnt really turn out to vote in midterm elections. 2012 could be the year... or not, I feel its close-real close, Im not a resident of CA but I was really hoping prop 19 passed, it was the proverbial flood gate for the rest of the country. Once one state,any state,legalizes theres a few more to follow right after, then a yr or two of waiting while other states see what happens then its all out... with enough support and states legalizing the Feds would have no choice but to face the issue... but its gonna take 5-10 yrs after that first state does it... just keep voting and writing your Reps, have as many friends and relatives you can write too...Here in Mass some districts had a nonbinding( yea...) ques. to force reps to vote on legalizing.. not that it does any good we dont even have MMJ yet that bills been stuck in review for almost a yr now

I voted no on prop 19 so I know I did my part to make sure its Legalized some day.

You have the only legitimate reason why a person should be allowed access to marijuana on a medical bases. Pot will get you eating and going to bed and waking up at a decent hour and it does help a person let go so they can relax. In the city it's only normal to find your nose right up against the wall all the time. Unlike you I wake up here in the Rockies wondering what I'm going to do today and no ones going to come here to tell me I can't smoke or grow myself a joint. So you all have a choice as I see it, the city or your life.

Arizona has about 374,000 ballots to count
Election officials across Arizona have an estimated 374,000 early and provisional ballots still to count from Tuesday's general election.
Most of those ballots are in Maricopa County. The state's largest county by population has nearly 219,000 early ballots and 55,000 provisional ballots still to count.
Pima County has about 47,000 outstanding ballots, including more than 34,000 early ballots.
Congressional seats in southern Arizona held by Democrats, Rep. Gabrielle Giffords and Rep. Raul Grijalva, remain too close to call. Three ballot measures are also too close to call, including one that would legalize medical marijuana.

Almost half the population voted in favour of prop 19 and other related proposals. This factor alone means that these governments have to make concessions, unless they are prepared to condemn almost half of the citizens that reside in these regions.
