Isn't their something odd about digging through trash in an attempt to find something ... ANYTHING, to demean your political opponent? Why can't the Progressives just debate the issues face to face?
I don't agree with Palin on everything, her support for McCain's senant run for example, but there is no doubt that she's a real motivator for the conservatives. Witness the crowds she attracts everywhere she goes for example. Wait! Isn't the fact that Palin is such a threat to the Progressives the very reason for the dumpster diving?

It's a metaphor dude. I go digging for information as a consequence of my work. What I find is largely up to the universe to supply. I don't think of any one person as a political opponent, except obstructionists.
As far as randomly finding stuff in trash literally... it happens. We should be so lucky things like this can be found. It would be nice if ALL politicians were caught so easily. Does it matter Palin calls herself conservative? Yes. She shouldn't use her soapbox as an opportunity to escape fault for a problem of which she is a contributing cause. It's dirty.
Likewise, the day a liberal mixes in a little Nazi philosophies with their equal opportunity stuff... I may buy a gun.

Yes and drawing comparisons between your political opponent and Hitler isn't going to extremes to demean someone?
Oh and political debate kind of like the one that was televised on C-SPAN about health care?

Paranoia is a hot commodity these days and Palin is selling it by the ton - the reason why she attracts large crowds
If you support the kind of hubris spouted by the majority of Teabaggers, as Palin does, you are fair game as far as I am concerned
if you read the article it says they were doing it on a Saturday when nobody was supposed to be working. this caught the eye of some alert students so they looked deeper into it and found the documents. the students did not set out on a mission. from what the article said.
