Northern lower Michigan has a few metro-ish areas w ample populations to support a few hydro shops. They are worth looking into, however once you approach Grand Rapids, Lansing, Ann Arbor and Detroit.... there are now more grow shops than automatic teller machines. Since '08, lotsa folks jumped into the retail hydro biz and the established ones expanded.

Check out Marquette: http://www.lifepointhospitals.com/news/duke-lifepoint-eyes-michigans-upper-peninsula/
This city is a shopping destination spot for everyone throughout Michigan's U.P. and has a somewhat decent pop.
It's quality living w a few drawbacks. lower mi is all hustle n bustle, except maybe northern lower mi.
Marquette is the queen city of the north. The hospital is very lacking and hopefully within the next five years Duke will help Marquette General so people don't have to drive 500 miles for decent health care. Beside the health care situation it is hard to find a nicer city than Marquette. The lower peninsula is flooded with grow shops, dispensaries, caregivers, hydro shops, certification centers. etc. There is a HUGE need for all of that up here.
But for entertainment your ass is going to the casino or red-neck bar. lmao. Fly your ass somewhere or something. lol.

I know you mentioned mich because your daughter and grandson. But you may want to wait until after the election and see what other states may adopt similiar MM laws (maybe even better written) Then you will get a jump on the competitors and not worry about rubbing elbows!!
Anyone know if Wisconsin is even considering legalization.

You might get banned saying that word in michigan forums.

In many ways Michigan is the best place, as far as natural resources and affordable living. jus sayin', fall '12/'13 staying optimistic (w/ conting.) neighboring states. had a gf in Cinci. michigan cheese has a nice ring too..

i am just really over the government telling me what i as a free white human in the united states of fuck you all we got you by the balls America..what i can ingest. The doctors can give you a medication that is god given and then man refabricated to be one of the most adicting substances in the world and i can't even smoke a fucking joint but i can get all the pain pills in the world and they still call you a droug addict for taking the shit they put you on..SO thats another reason i want to become a yooper,,,so i can be legal and grow some of the best shit known to man woman and child,,,

Here is a suggestion..... move to another weed friendly state. Michigan is a hell hole. I should have never came back and stayed in Seattle. Although I do miss my lakes in the Summer! cant find beaches like you do on the shore of Lake Michigan.

Probably some cheap property up toward Newberry now. One of our patients is busy cooking the firefighters food right now. That is a few hours from me.
