Think this sifting drum would be a good way to collect kief for hash?

I have one of these bad boys. It sifts by shaking it with a motor. Do you think this would be a good way to collect kief after my grow? I'd only need to buy a 200 mesh drum for it (or finer mesh maybe) since I own this thing already. My only concern is if it would be impossible to clean afterward. Is kief hard to sterilize off of things? Of course the drum head wouldn't need cleaned, it'd be used solely for my grow.

Just soak it in water salt and alcohol, if that can get wax out of a rig you bet it can get whatever residue is on you sifter
