:peace:Working on my first grow and wondering about 2 things.

1. When buying seeds and they say for example 6-8 week grow is that under natural sunlight, hps,mh, or what?

2. When is the right time to switch from fluorescent bulbs to mh in the first part of the grow?

Thanks

The 8 week mark they put on plants is usually flowering time, as you can veg for as long as you want.
And I dont think it will matter what type of light, but it will affect the final product quality/yield.

I don't think you need to worry much about fluorescent bulbs. You can start the seedlings under a metal halide lamp. You just need to keep it comfortably far away. I would keep it 2 1/2 feet or so up at first (or adjust slightly depending on voltage) and then move it down after maybe the first 3-point leaves. If you are paranoid about it, overcompensate a little bit and watch the seedlings when they are very young. Move the light accordingly to their actions (little by little). You will get the feeling for where you want to be. It you have the fluorescents already, you can go for it, and switch when they get some meat on them. If you don't, and you are still shopping around for all your lights, I would just get a mh.
