this one i haven't finished yet because I'm not entirely happy with it ... a little lego style key chain size bowl . it will have a short stem that fits in the square recess and a key chain stud to hold the cover on when not in use

Like I mentioned above feel free to comment , things you like or don't like .
Have an idea ? I like ideas , if it's something cool a person would never know for sure but if you haven't noticed I am a little ocd
I work in two's just in case I make a mistake ...... a present may be found in one's mail box someday.

I have a few days before I can order it but if funds permit I'm thinking about a 20lb proto box of random brass chunks and 20 lbs stainless from online metals .

i had an idea ...
its just so crazy it may just work . the model isn't quite what it will look like finished i had to check to make sure i had a design that is machinable
and something i can hold to machine .
i can do both .

youll have to imagine the bowl for the head and the mouth piece out the back

if i was rich a chunk of titanium would be sourced . unless you are buying it by the ton titanium is uber expensive right now at the retail level . so are the tools to machine it . wont even look up prices , a wild guess close to 2k just in tools and material , not a freaking chance short of finding a sugar granny .

a nice shiny chunk of 303 stainless all polished up would look awesome , $250 or so for tools and materials .
more then i really should spend to be honest .

brass , i have the tools , material is still expensive .

aluminum .. eh i dunno its not for me .

4140 ht , i like it . it machines great its affordable if i find drop and i dont have to buy anything except the material and a new drill . $75 or so after taxes and shipping . the best part is 4140 flame blues to a nice deep blurple color .

i get things stuck in my head and just have to do ... i had a piece of 4140 big enough to make 1 , that annoys the heck out of me what with the ocd.

the body is nearly finished , it took a ridiculous amount of time to get this far with the little 3mm tool needed to get into the nooks and crannies ... them i broke a brand new $30 tool.....

anyhoo .. here it is right off the mill without any cleaning or de-burring

comment if you like ...

did i mention i am a serial maker ... this isnt related to anything here . just an example of things that grab my ocd ....

so yea , look at the pictures even if they are not that great .

yep its a little large for some peoples tastes , screw em . yea,yea i may have went a little overboard here .

twelve parts and counting , dont ask how much time i have in it so far ,... its a lot . the elevation and windage are on dovetails there will be a drop down flag with an aperture .
it isnt apparent from my lousy pictures but ive engraved everything including the screws to a minor extent .. dont ask why , i have no answers .

everything is as straight off the mill so forgive the chips and grime i need to get some solvent and clean everything good .

7 maybe 8 parts left , im just making this up as i go along
