That would be me... Have been living and working in this small section of yard besides food/bathroom/shower/etc. breaks, since the middle of August

These are just some of the security measures that are in the open, that I want people to see (unfortunately This is sort of public facing end, the tents (one on other end) are visual deterrents just as much as me being ready to pounce from inside.

The trip wire is green fishing line connected to a 3 dollar window magnet alarm just to wake me up if they somehow made it through the other trip wire near the perimeter (The ones I dont want you to see) as well as some other unmentioned security devices focused on the perimeter....

The camera is real, catches the road leading away from the public(but deserted) area. Its connected with more than 5 other cameras around the back side of the property. Includes real time text alerts motion sensitivity, night vision, etc. connected to plenty of HDD space But the cameras are mainly for alerts if needed to run somewhere in emergency and no one is there to watch, and any after math investigation if they somehow got away.
My dog likes sleeping in my greenhouse now that it is cold. Respect the dedication. Despise the need. Rippers BEWARE.

It's still amazing watching a thief schitt when you rack a shell. Never had to pulled the trigger thankfully. And I have not seen the same thief twice.

I have a large very defensive husky. Will eat you! He has caught 2 people. Bloody mess each time. Left their limbs attached thankfully. The law in my state requires beware of dog signs every 50' in clear view on all sides of property to not be liable for the dogs actions.

I have had some fun with a motion activated sprinkler with a tank of food coloring under the plant. You're ripper is obvious after tripping that for weeks. Too many POS losers out here.
Methylene blue is a really good stain...hard to get off.

Non organic. Kills the lawn.

Try different colors under different plants. I ran across a smurf after his visit. He had to be humiliated by the blue patches on his face. Knew he was defacating when I told him how he got it after inquiring. Only need to terrify a couple before word gets out.

we use electric fence as bear deterrent. We have signs every 10ft on the fence. also motion alarms. and tire spikes on the driveway at night. Once they get a good shock and the alarms are blazing they would have to assume we are serious about keeping our crop and not stick around. You can get a solar electric fence at Tractor Supply for $200...

No bears here. Non defensible in court. I still have a strand at the top of my privacy fence. Straight 110 at 1/2 second pulse. Pee on that. .18 A. Won't kill you. Will stutter your step for a few. Squirrels did backflips the first couple weeks.

Hmm... Actually these might be pretty effective deterrent even without electricity, just a metal wire fence... peoples imagination that have never felt a shock would be way worse than the actual shock...

huh? I was wondering why anyone would even put the signs up if they had a real fence... Other than at an obvious spot or something...
Maybe if they needed to for laws or something.

But sorry I dont know what you mean by this comment...

The farms I've been on put them up so we wouldn't touch them and to give the animals a visible barrier.

these 12ga tripwire alarms work very well with pepper shells....
Rub it in wilderness guy. Glad your humor and health are well.

That's 2-5 for dischaging a firearm within city limits. The casing is the gun here.

Why don't they sell ripper permits? Just like any other animal. Nuisance, crop damage, loss of income and seasonal. I want a crop damage permit.

Mine's the first big red dot to the left of center from the bottom. 10's of thousands of reports on 3 bears in memory. Human population. Not bear population. I get your point and appreciate the logic. Our legal system is oppressive here.
how about raccoons?....
