Yeah, I had to shake them after every storm, and every morning when it got cool and they got covered in morning dew. They cleaned up pretty well, though. This is how they looked when I was done pulling the dead leaves out.
Did the trunk damage split at the soil level on its own or did you cut something off it there?
How tall were they? They would be hidden so well in a nursery of young willow plants or maybe butterfly bushes.
She just split, like she just ate/drank too much and burst. It might have been the big macs and pints I was feeding her, lol. She is a slow grower, and she's doing OK, just a weird one!
The tallest one was around 7.5 - 8 feet tall.
Wonder if a person should cover the base up with some soil, kinda like a bandage..

She healed just fine. I wouldn't have for chance of contamination getting in the plant.

Was thinking.. Do people have something like a tree salve the stuff they use for sealing up where you cut limbs off a tree so you don't get a pitch leakage, but for weed?
They really were beautiful plants, so I still liked having them in the yard, even though I knew they probably wouldn’t make it. I still don’t know what strain they were. They each had a tag on them that just had the date they were planted and “GC” written in them. The only strain I could think of was maybe “Green Crack”?Wow.. These plants are sooo resilient. You can use tape for a couple of days, even if you completely break a branch off, tape her back on and she will heal super strong in a couple days. Sometimes though, the regrowth looks like a miniature plant growing on a branch. I had that happen once.Was thinking.. Yup that is the stuff.. Excited to harvest my Sideshow Bob looking sativa so I can take a close look at where I split the trunk and taped it shut months ago.

Like the sounds of this better. Also wondering about a DIY home remedy, surely people have experimented with something other than just wrapping it up.. Neosporin of sorts. But for weed!
