these ballasts got me confused..

Dont know anything about lights.. looking at ballasts and all the digital ones have a dimmer.. a circular opening that looks like its for cooling... a 3 prong input plug and on the opp side another weird looking 3 prong plug... my question is what else do i have to get besides a ballast and light.. because i dont see any cord that comes with any of the ballasts to plug in to this input, and no place to plug a bulb into

You have to buy a cordset that fits your ballast.

it usually comes as a package deal. ballast, cord set, light bulb and reflector.

you need a reflector/hood. its what you put the bulb in and it plugs into the ballast.

best bet when buying your light set up is to make sure it is " Plug and play ". This means that everything is included.
