Please read this. I Really need some advice here!
Hello everyone. Been growing for almost 3 years. Have grown some dank ass nugs, BUT! By the time it's dry it has barely any taste, and seems to be really harsh, and unpleasant.
What I could never understand was how dank my bud smelled, and looked. I have always been a believer in flushing, so that wasn't the issue. I changed nutrient companies more than Brangelina adopt kids
! And after all that $$$ spent and time put in, my nugs still came out tasting horrible.
I have tried all the methods of harvesting, drying & curing. Here's the thing. There is very low humidity, where I am. RH is 37% in my bathroom, and that's with my lil humidifier in there.
Now I harvested 2 days ago, and I went in my bathroom to check on things, and already the bud felt a lil dry to the touch. Almost a soft cushiony texture, if that makes sense. I know the inside is still fairly wet, but I decided to rip a piece off, and YUM, YUm, YUM!
Now this bud is NOT dry yet, AN I KNOW THIS! BUT the flavor I'm looking for IS THAT RIGHT THERE. That yummy full taste. With sweet flavors, that when u take a drag, its smooth, and when you let it out, it tickles your throat, and you cough but NOT because of the harshness, but because of that tickling sensation. I know that makes sense to someone out there!
So here's my question??? How do I keep that flavor alive?? I know I gotta slow the drying process down, but how? I always wait till I can snap the stem, but by then my bud seems to dry, and the harsh flavor is locked in. I still put them in jars to try to cure, but the jar process seems to make it worst.
So I am thinking about gettin a humidifier for the drying purpose on the next dry. BUt for now..... Should I go ahead and throw them in paper bags, to slow the drying down, or should I throw them in jars while they are still wet, and just keep and eye on them?
Keep in mind... As of right now, they've been hanging for 2 days and a few hours.
