Im saying, from the time they left egypt till now being succesful and extremely greedy people... thousands of years.
You do realize, don't you, that the story of Jews' extreme greed is a lie, right? It's like the unflattering "race characteristics" the racists trotted out on that thread that's no longer there ... pure garbage. Please tell me you know better ... or are willing to learn better. read some real Jewish survivor stories. They went through worse (yes, worse. The story of Stalin's anti-Semitic orgies is just beginning to be added to the pyre.) than Black Americans and more recently. Also, examine what you said above; it harms your claim of being the least racist person here. cn

The cycle is created by blacks? How is this true when employers are 50% more likely to hire a white man with a criminal record than a black man without one. How can the cycle be stopped if a black man cant even get a job as easy as everyone else??

Read this, it explains better and in much better detail than I can.-

Affirmative action made it to where a black man can be more likely to get a job even if he isn't as qualified as a white man asking for the same job...so how come that didn't help? Because it is hard to find a black man actually looking for a job? Why didn't it help?

at the risk of exposing a historical lack within your epistemology, Kaendar, were all american slaves taken against their will from their points of origin in africa? this is a factual question about the history of american slavery, so, according to your claims, you should know the answer.
Of course they were. None of them wanted to be loaded onto that ship. From their perspective, their captors were [hostile tribe], not [fellow African]. cn

I just laughed so hard. Do you not understand that any thought of independence was beaten out of slaves? Any mention of religion or culture from Africa was beaten out of slaves! Slaves were beaten to the point that they hated the idea of Africa, and eventually they forgot about it entirely.
Seriously, the thought that the effects of the beating "took" for 147 years, across several generations, does not withstand scrutiny. cn

Read the article. All affirmative action did was ruins white ppls business. If, after you read the article that explains exactly why blacks are in their current dilemma, and you still think that they are to blame, then I have to assume that you are racist.

Are you implying that some slaves simply signed up to be shackled in the bottom of a ship for 2 weeks and taken to a completely new place??
No, but some of those slaves were taken to the ships by their families, and by other african's that wanted rid of this person for one reason or another...
Africans were willing to round up their own for slavery as long as they got paid or given a nice gun...
It was usually blacks bringing slaves to the ships, but the black guy with a whip isn't a slave, nor will he be...he was a business man helping gather chattel for the man paying the note. That is what I mean by the Jews made great things out of bad because they had a sense of self...the blame game leaves everyone involved looking like a jackass...the best thing you can do to get the man back is to strive hard and do well...Stop expecting a Goddamn handout because prior to 1865 some of your people were slaves...you aren't a slave now, or an African...You are an American...You have nothing to rail against that hasn't been created by the people trying to fight it.

All I saw was radical Marxist tripe. In a way it's especially toxic, because it discredits the better path: success by working on the system from inside. cn

If I went to Europe right now, took 10 people from Britain, held them and there families captive for a few hundred years, beat their language and any thoughts of their home out of them, then suddenly released them, do you think it would even cross their minds to go back? Thats like me telling you to drop everything, and go move to siberia russia with nothing but the shirt on your back.

Can you ignore the facts Neer? How are blacks in the ghetto supposed to find success if they are the least likely to be hired, education or not, and most likely to be imprisoned, guilty or not? You have to admit that the system that runs our lives is flawed and biased.

the question was, were all slaves TAKEN against their will...the question itself cryptically answers the question...there were tribal political formations in existence in africa at the time of western entrance into the "dark continent." Some of these tribal political organizations had already implemented slavery much the same way most developing social systems did (e.g. the so called "untouchable" caste in india) over the courses of their histories. Hence, a distinct proportion of slaves were actually traded for and acquired through normal, legal exchanges. These people were wrongfully enslaved as well, but there is no mention of this by Kaendar. It is relevant because it exposes the fact that there are persons across the globe who have survived slavery and excelled post slavery while echoing the need for Kaendar to offer some more convincing explanation beyond "because of slavery"

And yet the Jews did just that. Read some of their history, and European history in general. You're saying "not possible!" to the friend of people whose response was "nu? We did it anyway." The very best revenge. cn

I could understand people that had felt the sting of the whip being less likely to want to blend...but I just don't get using the suffering of generations long before you as justification for a person't present actions.

I see. Yes; the history of the slaves was quite ugly on both sides of the ocean. Kaendar provided the perfect counterexample when he brought up that he swallowed an especially hateful myth about the Jews. I don't have much confidence of reaching him, though, because he sincerely believes in conspiracy, a Jewish cabal of hidden world leaders, and that radical Marxist blamestorm. cn

Blend in terms of live in mixed neighborhoods ... i get that too. But blend in the sense of grabbing a share of society's jobs and productivity ... I see no wisdom in spurning that. cn

This expresses the truth pretty well-

"you know why they won't ever understand it because they don't want to, simple as that. They wouldn't have been able to survive what we have survived.

There is no discrimination against them, and if they feel that way, well, welcome to our world, that ain't nothiing NEW to us. Until they experience what we have they will NEVER COMMITT themselves to understanding. The only time THEY understand something is if it DIRECTLY imvolves them and THEY FEEL as if they are a MINORITY, don't waste your time or energy putting this out there, because they will never understand, they don't care to.

Since they weren't the ones who experienced it why should they care? But they care about Jewish experiences, if anything their plight and ours were the most heinous and boorish acts of hate.

and you wonder why Blacks are leery about you all?
They've never experienced hangings for triival things or just for fun, you guys remember that don't you? or how about boiling pple alive?

yep YOUR folks might not have DIRECTLY owned slaves, but this country is sure as hell reaping the benefits, you are INDIRECTLY reaping what slavery produced for this country, but they don't care, they only care about what makes them feel good.

that;s how they are my sista, anything that feels like reverse anything, they'll jump on the bandwagon, why? because they are feeling like the minority, well, all I can say to that is welcome, welcome, welcome, to the life of a Black person and may your journey be full with beatings, discrimination, hatred, cultural deprecation (which you don't mind exploiting), and feeling hopeless, because that's what WE go through.

NOTHING was given to US, everything we've fought for, but that's ok, we are a strong pple, always have been and always will be, so with that said, my sista keep rep'n and stay strong, be proud and be bold because you come from a rich pple. 1 love."
